🌟 Good Luck, Caitlin! 🌟

Today is Caitlin’s last day with us at Ronnie & Emma MAKE, as she gets ready to begin an exciting new career at Walton Hall.

Of course, we couldn’t let her leave without a quick McDonald’s lunch! 🍟🍔

We’d like to say a huge thank you for all her hard work, creativity and everything she has brought to the workshop. She’ll be greatly missed by all of us, as well as our participants.

We’re sure she’ll be absolutely brilliant in her new role, and we wish her lots of happiness and success as she begins this next chapter.

Kids Club - They Really Took to the Stage…

This week our young makers were well and truly treading the boards as they created their own cardboard Show Time Puppet Theatre.

From painting the theatre frames to bringing their puppets to life, everyone became the director, designer and star of their very own production. The imaginations on display were incredible, with funny voices, dramatic entrances and plenty of unexpected plot twists.

The applause didn’t stop there either… we headed outside and enjoyed a game of bowling in the sunshine before taking a well-earned bow after another fantastic Kids Club session.

Absolutely love seeing creativity take centre stage and watching confidence grow…Bravo everyone.

🌈 Lollie Stick Dolls! 🌈

Today we transformed lollie sticks, felt and colourful yarn into these fantastic little dolls! 🧶

Everyone chose their own colours, hairstyles, clothes and decorations, giving each doll a completely different personality. They’re bright, fun and wonderfully unique — just like their makers! 😊🙌

And we had a couple of baseball caps too..

Signs, Herds and Puzzles..

Lots of things finished today, with some fantastic progress made on others too, including our “Wall Art Signs” , “Home Is Where the Herd Is” and “Animal Puzzle Art” projects…

Spinning Into Creativity…

Today’s Kids Club project was making our very own Spirograph machines… and they turned out very funky and very cool.

It was brilliant watching everyone experiment with different patterns, colours and designs, with every creation being completely unique. We love projects that mix creativity with a little bit of engineering 😁

Sun, Smiles & Finished projects..

We sun-dried the food props 🍽️ and safely delivered the last of the prop builds. 🙌

Ben finished his memorial project too. The tombstone has a clever hidden compartment on the back that holds up to 19 plaques – such a great idea.

We’ve also completed more Award Worthy Medals 🏅 and started work on a really cute kawaii-style wall art puzzle, and they are looking adorable already 🥰

Well done, everyone! You’ve all worked so hard and managed the heat.

It’s all coming together…

Today the schools came to collect their props, and it’s been brilliant seeing everything heading out ready for the big events.

We’ve still got a few things to complete today and tomorrow before our Friday 3:30pm drop-off deadline… It’s going to be busy, but I know we’ve got this. 🙌

Alongside all of that, there’s been lots of other amazing making happening in the workshop too. We’re so proud of everything everyone has been creating.

We’ve also had some bittersweet moments as we’ve said goodbye to some of our students who are moving on to college and other exciting new adventures.
