Anxiety has got the better of me today. And my energy is floored, my motivation to work out- rock bottom. Even though I know movement will help.

The glass of wine seems more appropriate. Some days, it's best to rest.

Take care of yourself ❤️

This thing totally changed the game for my youngest daughter's teeth brushing.

Three beeps, check the light guide, and she's done.

Egg timers weren't a hit, and my advice just didn't stick.

It's been a great investment in her oral health.

This isn't an ad, just a method I've tried and tested and would totally recommend.

The Lowdown

I grabbed a pair to see if a regular fashion brand could actually make real minimalist shoes, and honestly? They totally nailed it.

The Price: £35.99 vs £190. You can literally get five pairs of these for the price of one pair of Vivos.

The Comfort: They're super comfy. They have a really flexible, zero-drop rubber sole, no arch support (which is exactly what you want so your foot muscles can actually do their job), and a surprisingly soft, moldable leather and suede upper.

The Look: Let's be real—sometimes true barefoot shoes can look a bit... intense. Zara designed these with a sleek, low-profile, retro plimsoll vibe. They just look like cool everyday sneakers that go easily with jeans, shorts, or casual work outfits.

We’ve all been there: waking up tired, feeling overwhelmed by the endless "wellness rules," or just feeling like our bodies and minds are running on 10% battery.

But here’s the truth: living better isn’t about perfection. It’s not about restrictive diets, 5 AM ice baths (unless you're into that!), or completely upending your life overnight. It’s about small, intentional shifts that add up to massive transformation.

As a health and wellness advocate, my goal isn't to give you a rigid blueprint. It’s to help you find your unique rhythm—the foods that fuel you, the movement that brings you joy, and the habits that give you your energy back.

You deserve to feel vibrant. You deserve to live fully, not just get by. 🌿

Drop a 🔋 in the comments if you’re ready to upgrade your energy.

It's been a whole year since my TAHBSO! I waited years for that surgery, just to be taken seriously and not laughed at by women's health specialists. It took an experienced male gynaecologist to actually listen to me and give me the empathy and support no woman had offered.

And honestly, I've never been happier. After battling a monthly cycle of intrusive thoughts, I've been free for 365 days.

My recovery is complete. I'm stronger than ever, and I want to live more than ever.

Forever grateful 🙏

If you know me, you know I’m a professional reflector. 🙋‍♀️ I look at everything—the highs, the lows, and the messy middles—and I talk about it openly.

Sometimes, I worry it looks like oversharing. But truth? There’s a method to my vulnerability.

I share my journey because I don't want anyone to feel like they are walking through the dark alone. If my over-reflecting can be the exact piece of encouragement you needed to hear today, or the reminder that it’s going to be okay, then every single post is worth it.

If you’re struggling today: take a deep breath. You are capable, you are supported, and your story isn’t finished yet. 🪵✨

Happiest outdoors, navigating life after lessons.

I've learned a lot in my 33 years and continue to learn as I go. I make mistakes, I get up and carry on. The career I dreamt of came true, and it didn't work out. Physician Associates have had a rough time. I've found a new path that provides more freedom than any NHS role, less responsibility (medical care = stress), and plenty of happiness. I miss parts of my old role, but none of the hierarchy. 🌳🗺️😊

Interesting new device in my bathroom... my youngest thought she had found something,... adult. She looked convinced she had found something rude.

But this little pocket rocket is actually my new HRT.

Multiple pumps of Oestrogel takes so long to dry, this is a game changer.

Unsure why the bottle looks so intriguing, perhaps a marketing strategy for content like this. Either way, I'm happy with the switch so far.

Our little home is so full of joy.

We downsized from a Victorian home bursting with character and charm, for a new build.

And we have gained so much freedom. Our home is full of happiness.

These peonies have blossomed just like we have. 🏡

Noticing extra weight around your midline during menopause? 🧵 Here’s the quick breakdown of why it happens and how to handle it, courtesy of EatingWell and Cancer Research UK:

Why it’s happening:

📉 The Oestrogen Drop: Declining ovarian oestrogen levels cause your body to shift fat storage directly to your abdomen.

📉 The "Vicious Cycle": Your body actually creates deep abdominal fat (visceral fat) to compensate! This fat contains an enzyme called aromatase, which converts hormones to produce a form of oestrogen called estrone. It’s your body's clever way of trying to make more oestrogen, but it can result in that stubborn "spare tyre."

📉 Muscle Loss: Natural muscle loss as we age slows down your metabolism, making weight gain easier.

Why managing it matters:

⚠️ While your body is just trying to protect you, too much visceral abdominal fat can lead to chronic inflammation and is linked to a higher risk of breast and womb cancers.

What to do about it:

💪 Lift weights: Build muscle to kickstart your resting metabolism and target visceral fat.

🥦 Eat more protein & fibre: Focus on whole foods, lean proteins, and veggies to stay full, stabilise blood sugar, and manage weight.

😴 Don't skip rest: Bad sleep and high stress trigger cortisol, which loves to store belly fat.

It’s just biology and your hormones trying to find a new balance. Adjust the routine, support your body, and keep moving forward! ✨
