Firstly let’s start with ‘what if’. Is a what if grounded in facts and the present moment or is it a prediction of something in the future that we have no certainty of?
What if should come with an anti social behaviour order and immediate intervention.
Why is your brain trying to predict what might happen? Okay that was a rhetorical question as I’m going to tell you, because my anxious human, that’s how brains work - they try and guess what might happen so they can ‘prepare’.
But the key 🔑 here is it is a PREDICTION. So you can predict whatever you want.
It’s crazy isn’t it that our brain can predict something that hasn’t actually happened and we fully buy in.
So when I hear what if I can’t do it, my next question is, what tells you that you can? What shows you that you have what it takes.
Because mon cher I don’t know why we are discussing it at all if you have 100% certainty that this outcome is in fact inevitable.
If you are brave enough to sit in front of me and say suppose theres a chance it might work. Even, if that feels small and unlikely, then we can get your brain on board and make that possible for you.
Shall we?
