Most people know fibre is good for digestion but maybe fewer get that it’s vital for our mental health too.

Here’s why: our gut microbiome feeds on fibre to stay happy and balanced. It’s in regular touch with our brain microbiome (90% of the messages go from gut to brain), so if the gut is well nourished and happy then the signals it sends to the brain (‘we’re safe, no need to flee or fight’), mean we are much more likely to feel calm in our world.

So, boosting fibre really helps to fight stress and keep our minds and bodies in balance. High fibre heroes:
🍎apples, pears, raspberries, kiwis, oranges, figs
đŸ„Šbroccoli, peas, leafy greens, sprouts
🌰all nuts & seeds

So excited to announce my first collab with Jo in Stamford! 💚

Our first event, ‘NOURISHED: how to turn your food into your superpower’ will be hosted at The Blonde Beet and we promise it will be a fun, learning, delicious experience where you’ll be able to get a taste of what we both do best
 focusing on the amazing benefits of plant-based foods and what they can do to help us truly thrive.

We’ll be talking protein, fibre, getting to grips with sugar, importance of healthy fats, swaps, tips, and hacks to make delicious food work for you. We’ll turn all of that into a live cookery demo followed by a light supper where you’ll get to taste some yummy dishes you can easily make at home!
