We're with you this World Alzheimer's Month 💙

Dementia is the UK's biggest killer and affects a new life every 3 minutes. It isn't just
about memory loss. Dementia also causes problems wtih communication and
adjustments in mood and personality, making it a life-altering illness.
This month, the team at Ravencourt are thinking of:

- Those who are living with dementia or have been recently diagnosed
- Family and loved ones whose lives have also been affected by dementia
- Caregivers who dedicate their time to support those with dementia and their families
- Anyone who has sadly lost someone to dementia

A dementia diagnosis touches the lives of more than just one person. We're proud
to stock daily living aids that can provide independence and improve the lives of
those living with dementia, as well as those involved in their care.

💙 Product Highlight: The Idem Digital Dementia Clock: Supporting independence, confidence and peace of mind

For many of us, knowing what day it is, what time it is and what is happening next is something we take for granted.

However, for people living with dementia or memory loss, changes to routine and uncertainty around everyday tasks can sometimes lead to confusion, anxiety and frustration which affecting not only the individual, but also the families and caregivers supporting them.

This is where thoughtful assistive technology can make a life-changing difference. ✨

The Idem Digital Dementia Clock has been designed to provide reassurance, structure and support throughout the day. Its clear display showing the day, date and time as well as appointment reminders, helps people living with memory loss maintain awareness of their schedule and feel more confident in their daily routine.

💙 Supporting independence
By providing clear reminders and helping people orientate themselves throughout the day, the Idem Clock can support individuals to complete everyday activities with greater confidence and less reliance on others.

💙 Reducing stress for families and caregivers
Caring for someone living with dementia can bring many challenges. Having a reliable visual reminder in the home can provide reassurance for loved ones, helping them feel confident that important routines, appointments and daily tasks are supported.

💙 Creating comfort through familiarity
Routine and familiarity can play an important role for people living with memory loss. By helping establish consistency around everyday life, the Idem Clock supports a calmer and more reassuring environment.

At Ravencourt, we believe technology should always have a purpose and the Idem Digital Dementia Clock's is to make life easier, more inclusive and more connected. 💙

☀️ Making the most of the Summer Bank Holiday while supporting routine and independence

Long weekends are often a chance to relax, but for people living with dementia or memory loss, changes to a routine can feel unsettling. A change in schedule or unexpected events can create confusion for the individual, but also for the families and caregivers supporting them.

Maintaining a consistent daily routine can provide reassurance and help create a greater sense of independence. Simple reminders around everyday tasks such as staying hydrated, taking medication, eating regular meals and knowing what is happening throughout the day can make a meaningful difference.

🕰️ The Rosebud Reminder Clock, developed in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, has been designed to support people living with memory loss by providing gentle prompts throughout the day. By providng medication reminders an encouraging good hydration and nutrition, it helps support daily routines and provides reassurance when unexpected changes occur.

This Summer Bank Holiday, we’re sharing a few simple ways families can help maintain familiarity and routine while still enjoying time together.

Small reminders can make a big difference. ✨

Sometimes, connection can be found in the smallest moments. 💛

Bailey knows firsthand what it’s like to watch someone you love live with dementia.

As her Nanna’s dementia progressed, there came a point when she no longer recognised Bailey or her brother. But through time, patience and experimenting with different ways to engage with her, they discovered something incredibly powerful: sensory engagement could help bring her back into the moment.

Through touch, movement and simple sensory experiences, there were moments when their Nanna would engage with them again — moments of connection that meant everything to their family.

It’s an experience that has stayed with Bailey, and one she hopes can now help other families navigating dementia too.

Because even when memories begin to fade, there can still be opportunities to connect, engage and simply enjoy being together. 💜

That’s the heart behind Geri-Gadgets® — creating meaningful sensory experiences for people living with dementia and the families who love them.

Because connection matters. At every stage.

Today, for Never Give Up Day, we’re celebrating the determination, resilience and strength shown by people and communities every day.

Life doesn’t always follow the path we expect. Whether someone is adapting to a new challenge, rebuilding confidence after illness, living with changing needs or supporting a loved one through their journey, every step forward is meaningful.

Through accessible products and assistive technology, we’re proud to help older people and people living with disabilities maintain independence, feel more confident in everyday life and provide reassurance for families and carers. Products like the Idem Clock can play an important role too, helping to support routine, orientation and peace of mind throughout the day.

Today is a reminder to celebrate progress, however big or small, and recognise the incredible people who continue moving forward every day.

🌿 Today is one of those days to take a moment to reflect on your own journey, celebrate how far you’ve come and remember that every step matters.

Every stroke recovery journey is unique. 💙

For many people, the biggest milestones happen long after leaving hospital, as they regain confidence and independence at home.

Simple routines, familiar surroundings and the right support can all play an important role in helping someone feel more in control of everyday life.

At Ravencourt, we're proud to provide assistive technology that helps individuals and their families navigate these moments with greater reassurance and confidence.

This National Stroke Week, we're recognising the resilience of stroke survivors, celebrating every step forward and acknowledging the carers, healthcare professionals and loved ones who support them every day.

When people first begin exploring support for themselves or a loved one, there can be a lot of information to take in.

Over the years, there are a few things we've heard time and time again.

💙 Support doesn't have to be complicated.

💙 Small changes can make a big difference.

💙 It's okay to ask for help.

💙 There isn't one right way to do things.

💙 You don't have to figure everything out all at once.

Everyone's journey is different, but knowing where to start can often be the hardest part.

What advice would you give someone just beginning their journey?

We're proud to share that Ravencourt is now a Visibly Better Employer.

This recognition from RNIB reflects our commitment to creating a workplace where blind and partially sighted people can thrive. Becoming a Visibly Better Employer means taking meaningful steps to make recruitment, career development, workplace adjustments, and everyday experiences more accessible and inclusive.

Inclusion isn't just about meeting a standard—it's about ensuring everyone has the opportunity to succeed, contribute, and feel valued. This achievement marks another step in our ongoing journey to build a workplace where accessibility is embedded into everything we do.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We're excited to continue learning, improving, and creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.

📍 We're looking forward to attending TSA's Transforming Models of Care next Thursday at Sandown Park Racecourse, where leaders from across health, housing and social care will come together to explore the future of proactive, technology-enabled care. The event focuses on turning policy into practical action, with discussions centred on prevention, integration and better outcomes for people and services.

If you're attending, be sure to stop by and say hello! We'll be shining an exclusive spotlight on the Idem Smart Clock alongside the NEW Idem Pill Dispenser—showcasing how they work together to support independence, improve medication adherence and give families and care teams greater peace of mind through simple, connected technology.

Whether you're exploring innovative TEC solutions or looking for practical ways to deliver more person-centred care, we'd love to show you what's new and discuss how Idem can support your organisation.

📅 See you on Thursday!
