PACT Owls is a community-led social group based at PACT House in Stanley and delivered as part of the County Durham CREE Network. We provide an inclusive, neurodivergent-friendly and LGBTQIA+ friendly environment where adults can build confidence, make friends, and take part in positive social activities. We recognise that loneliness and social anxiety can affect anyone, and that neurodivergent an

d LGBTQIA+ people may face additional barriers to social participation. Our group offers a safe, calm and non-judgmental setting where individuals can engage at their own pace and feel supported. Weekly sessions combine informal social time with recreational and creative activities that encourage communication, enjoyment and emotional wellbeing. Through these sessions, participants develop friendships, reduce isolation, and reconnect with their local community. Working in partnership with PACT House, the wider CREE Network, and local organisations across County Durham, PACT Owls contributes to stronger communities, improved wellbeing, and long-term social inclusion.

🌈 PACT Owls x FreedomZone CollaborationWe know that anxiety and isolation affect many people in the LGBTQIA+ community often quietly, often alone. Pact Owls and Freedom Zone are joining forces to raise awareness and remind people that support is here, and connection is possible. This Saturday from 10am–3pm, our mental health group will be at Beamish Museum for the Heritage Meets Health event.
We’re there to promote men’s health, offer support, and remind people that no one has to struggle alone.
