If you don’t know how to ask your MUA for natural looking lashes, save this post ✨
Most of my clients tell me the same thing before their appointment:
“I want my makeup to look professionally done, but I still want to look like myself.”
One of the biggest misconceptions about natural makeup is that lashes have to be all or nothing. Many people think their only options are no lashes at all or a full strip lash, but that’s rarely the case.
For clients who don’t usually wear lashes, have hooded eyes, prefer softer eye makeup, or simply don’t want their eyes to look too dark, a few carefully placed lash clusters can make a huge difference.
The goal isn’t to make people notice the lashes, the goal is to make the eyes appear more open, more defined, and more balanced within the overall makeup look.
In this look, only a few lash clusters were placed strategically to enhance the natural lash line. They add subtle fullness and lift without overpowering the eyes or changing the client’s features.
This is often why clients say they don’t like lashes, what they actually mean is they don’t like lashes that feel heavy, uncomfortable, or obvious.
Makeup should be tailored to the person wearing it. Not every client needs dramatic eyes, a dark smokey look, or a full strip lash. Sometimes the most effective makeup choices are the ones nobody can quite put their finger on. They just know you look fresh, polished, and confident.
If you’ve ever worried that lashes won’t suit you, there are so many options available. The right lashes should complement your features, not compete with them.
