We are meeting this Monday 1st June.

When the sun is shining, and the world seems happy and full of life in these warmer days, grief can sometimes feel even more isolating. As others look forward to summer, you may still be carrying sadness, loss, and longing đź’›

That’s why spaces where you feel understood matter so much.

At SBSG there is no pressure to explain how you’re feeling or to “move on.” You are always welcome, exactly as you are.

The Stevenage Bereavement Support Group meets on the first Monday of every month 7:30pm at the The Vineyard Centre (Cockerell Close, SG1 2NB).

We are next meeting on Monday 11th May due to the Bank Holiday.

Sometimes support isn’t about having the right words—it’s simply about being there, listening, and sharing the space with others who understand.

Grief can feel heavy… but you don’t have to carry it alone 🤍

SBSG is a safe, welcoming place to talk, listen, or just sit with others who get it. There’s no pressure, no expectations—just support when you need it most.

You’re always welcome to come along.

The Stevenage Bereavement Support Group meets on the first Monday of every month 7:30pm at the The Vineyard Centre (Cockerell Close, SG1 2NB).

We are next meeting on Monday 13th April due to the Easter Bank Holiday.

With the clocks changing, lighter evenings, and the signs of spring beginning to appear around us, this season can bring a sense of renewal and new beginnings, especially around Easter — but we also recognise it can be a difficult time when you’re grieving, as the world feels like it’s moving forward while you may still be carrying so much within. It’s okay to take things at your own pace. Sometimes hope is just the smallest glimpse of light, and that is enough 🤍

We look forward to seeing you on the 13th - we will be there as usual to welcome anyone who needs support, a listening ear, or simply to sit in the company of others who understand.

This coming Sunday is Covid Day of Reflection. It feels as though everything has moved on and in other ways as though nothing is quite the same - particularly if this period is connected with some form of bereavement. You may want to mark this somehow: do something to remember a loved one, attend a church, call a family member. https://dayofreflection.campaign.gov.uk/about/

The Stevenage Bereavement Group runs on the first Monday of every month. We'd love to see you if this is something you still carry.

Did you know this week is grief awareness week? For some it feels like every week is grief awareness week. Now might be a good time to drop a message to a friend that has lost someone, remind them of a good memory - after a time it's easy to forget that they are still grieving. It's a small act of kindness that makes a huge difference. This week we're at Lister Hospital with . Come and pick up a leaflet.
