I invite you to meet the parts of yourself you have hidden, silenced or tried to transcend ,and consciously integrate them.

A lion inhabits its strength.
A wolf moves with its instincts.
An elephant feels its way through belonging.

There is something about animals simply being that brings me back to this question:

Do you know what being you feels like?

The sensation of being at home in your skin. The freedom of your unguarded laugh. The honesty of knowing what you want, what hurts, when you need rest, when you long for touch.

So much of our lives is spent learning what is expected of us. How often do we pause to discover what feels true within us?

Animals remind me to pay attention. To stretch. To breathe. To feel the sun on my body and let that moment be enough.

Being you is an intimacy you cultivate through living. Through listening inward and allowing what you discover to shape your choices.

You are here to experience the life that only you can inhabit.

Give yourself room to feel it.

I used to dread September.

A month marked by great losses. Even its arrival could bring the ache of everything I missed.

Then I came to Egypt.

And here, with the sun on my skin and the sea holding my body, I began to feel magic alongside the grief.

Both live within me.

I can ache for what is gone and feel desire for what is still possible. I can carry sorrow and be moved to my bones by beauty.

My joy does not betray my grief. My grief does not disqualify me from joy.

September is becoming a month that can hold more of my story.

This is what inhabiting my humanness keeps teaching me: there is room for everything. The tenderness, the longing, the pleasure, the love that still has somewhere to go.

I can miss what I have lost and still open my arms to life.

There is a hunger in us to feel the life we are living.

To bite into a ripe peach and let the juice run. To feel the sea against our thighs. To linger in a kiss because our whole body has arrived.

For me, this is where a sensual life begins: allowing what we encounter to reach us.

Eros is that intimate appetite for participation. It moves through our sexuality, our curiosity, the urge to make something, the courage to let ourselves want.

Awakening it asks for honesty. What draws you closer? Where does pleasure stir? What have you been aching to express?

Sometimes the answer is a lover. Sometimes it is solitude, a different rhythm, or an afternoon spent making something with your hands.

Inhabiting our humanness means giving these desires our attention, then choosing how to meet them. Making room for pleasure. Speaking a preference aloud. Staying present long enough to discover what actually satisfies us.

Let your senses have a say in how you live.

There is a whole body here, waiting to be included.

Ta**ra, lived rather than performed, is the decision to stop treating the body as a vehicle that delivers you somewhere else.
Eros is not an event. It is the current that already moves through the morning light on skin, the first sip of water, the way the breath catches when someone you love enters the room. Sensuality is simply the practice of not looking away from that current.
You wake and feel the sheet against the back of your thighs before you think of the day. You eat without scrolling, tasting the actual heat and salt. You walk and notice how the air touches the inside of your wrists. You speak and feel the vibration of your own voice in the chest. None of this is prelude. It is the practice.
When desire rises it is not a problem to be solved or a hunger to be managed. It is information. It says: something in you is alive and wants to meet something alive. You can meet it in a look held one second longer than politeness requires, in the slow unbuttoning of an ordinary afternoon, in the quiet decision to stay present when the body opens or when it does not.
Ta**ra as a way of life does not require candles or mantras or a partner who has read the same books. It requires only that you stop splitting yourself into the one who lives and the one who watches life. The sacred is not elsewhere. It is in the pulse at the base of the throat, in the ache that is not yet named, in the ordinary moment that suddenly becomes unbearable because it is so fully here.
You do not become more spiritual by leaving the senses behind. You become more human by letting them speak. Eros is the language they use when they are finally allowed to tell the truth.

The body was never meant to be a waiting room.

Eros is not the performance of desire. It is the older, quieter thing: the intelligence that lives in the skin before the mind arrives to explain it. It is what makes a ripe fig feel like a small miracle. What makes the first cool of evening on sun-warmed shoulders feel like being met. What turns a simple touch into a conversation the soul has been waiting years to have.
A sensual life is not more pleasure. It is less numbness.
It is the decision to stop treating the body as a vehicle that carries you to the next achievement and start treating it as the place where life is actually happening. Right now. In the particular weight of a glass in your hand. In the salt that stays on your lips after swimming. In the exact temperature of another person’s skin against yours when neither of you is trying to be anything other than here.
Eros wakes in slowness. In the courage to linger. In the willingness to want what you want without immediately translating it into a story about whether you are allowed to want it.
It also wakes in the parts we usually hide: the hunger that is not pretty, the grief that sits in the hips, the creativity that only appears when the body is finally allowed to feel instead of perform. Shadow and eros are not opposites. They are the same river, just different depths.
You do not need a new life. You need to inhabit the one you already have with your whole nervous system.
Taste the coffee as if it is the first time anyone ever invented bitterness and warmth in the same sip. Let your feet remember they belong to the earth. Let your skin remember it is an organ of knowing, not just a covering. Let yourself be moved — by beauty, by ache, by the ordinary miracle of still being here, still capable of wanting more life.
That is the awakening.
Not becoming someone else. Becoming more of what you already are: hungry, luminous, unfinished, and wildly, inconveniently alive.

Desire is information.
Most of us were taught it was a problem: something to manage, satisfy, or rise above.

However desire is not necessarily asking you to get the thing. It is showing you where more life is already moving.
That is why I refer to desire as a compass. It does not give you the destination. It gives you orientation, the direction your body, energy and attention are already leaning. When you stop treating desire as a lack to fill
and start treating it as data to feel, it becomes guidance instead of hunger.
That is the work:
listening to desire as information,
not as a demand.
