If you’re considering facial rejuvenation, you might be surprised to learn that there isn’t just one type of facelift.
In this conversation, Consultant Plastic Surgeon Mr John Biddlestone explains what a skin-only facelift is, how it’s performed and who it may be suitable for.
A skin-only facelift works by lifting and tightening the skin, helping to improve concerns such as loose skin, the jawline, neck and nasolabial folds. It can provide a lovely rejuvenation, particularly for patients considering their first facelift.
However, as Mr Biddlestone explains, every procedure has its advantages and limitations. A skin-only facelift doesn’t address the deeper supporting tissues, which means the results may not last as long as techniques that lift the underlying structures as well.
At FrownDocs, there is no one-size-fits-all approach to facial rejuvenation. Every recommendation is based on your anatomy, concerns and goals, ensuring you receive the treatment that’s most appropriate for you… not simply the treatment you came in asking for.
If you’ve ever wondered about the differences between facelift techniques, this conversation is a great place to start.
