🏃‍♀️✨ Glenmore 24 Ultra 2026 ✨🏃‍♂️

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Glenmore 24 Ultra representing KCR Academy, showcasing KCR and sharing the benefits of this amazing treatment with the runners, supporters and everyone involved in this incredible event.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part — whether you ran, supported, volunteered or simply came along to soak up the atmosphere. What an achievement 👏🏼

It was fantastic to meet so many people, introduce them to KCR, and give them the opportunity to experience first-hand how it can help the body feel more balanced, mobile and ready to perform at its best.

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and experienced KCR. I really appreciate all the conversations, feedback and enthusiasm throughout the day 💙

Events like Glenmore 24 are a brilliant reminder of the importance of looking after your body — whether you’re an ultra runner, weekend warrior, gym-goer, or simply want to feel better in everyday life.

🥊 FIGHT WEEK BODYWORK 🥊

Today I was working with as we get his body prepared for his fight this Thursday.

We focused on sports massage and cupping, targeting areas of tension and restriction from the demands of his training camp.

Sports massage to help reduce muscular tension, support circulation, recovery, and improve mobility , all valuable when preparing for the demands of a fight.

While the cups were in place, I had Stuart moving through specific movements. Combining the cups with movement allows us to work with the tissues while the body is actively moving, rather than simply keeping him still on the table.

Wednesday morning we do KCR the day before his fight.

For a boxer, having the body working efficiently as a connected kinetic chain is important. Boxing involves the whole body — power starts from the ground, travels through the legs and hips, through the core and into the shoulders, arms and hands.

KCR is a sequence of mobilisations and stretches designed to support the body and realign the kinetic chain.

For a boxer, this is particularly important because boxing is a full-body movement. Power and movement travel through the body from the feet, through the legs and hips, into the core, shoulders and arms.

When the kinetic chain is working efficiently, the different parts of the body can work together as they should. This is important for movement, rotation, footwork, balance and the ability to generate and transfer power through punches.

Doing KCR the day before the fight is about supporting Stuart’s body and getting his kinetic chain prepared, so he can step into the ring feeling mobile, connected and ready to perform.

Stuart is currently 7-0 as a professional and is the Scottish & Commonwealth Youth Welterweight Champion, on Thursday evening he fights In Glasgow at the Raddison Blu To defend his Scottish title.

Tickets for his fight are available if anyone’s interested in going please message him directly.

Your body keeps the score.

That little niggle in your shoulder.
The tightness in your neck.
The heavy feeling in your back.
The tension you’ve started to think is just “normal”.

It doesn’t have to get to the point where your body is begging for a break.

Regular massage is about staying on top of tension before it builds up.

People often wait until they’re really sore before booking a massage, thinking that’s when they’ll benefit most.

But regular massage is about maintenance, not just recovery.

And if you train regularly, this is even more important.

You put the hard work in during your training — pushing your body, challenging your muscles and working towards your goals. But if you’re not giving your body the same level of care and attention afterwards, you could be doing your hard work a disservice.

Training is the stimulus. Recovery is where your body gets the chance to respond.

Looking after your body with treatments that support your training isn’t a luxury — it’s part of respecting the work you’re putting in and giving yourself the best chance to keep progressing.

Everyday life can leave our muscles feeling tight and overworked — especially around the neck, shoulders and back. Add regular training into the mix, and your body can benefit from some extra TLC.

Regular massage can help you

🔷 Release built-up muscle tension
🔷 Support relaxation and wellbeing
🔷 Give your body some much-needed recovery time
🔷 Become more aware of where you’re holding stress
🔷 Support your training and recovery routine
🔷 Help you stay consistent with the activities you enjoy

Don’t wait until your body is shouting for attention.

You work hard for your body — make sure you’re looking after it too.

A little regular TLC can go a long way. 💙

Your body doesn’t complain loudly — it just tightens up quietly until one day it’s shouting at you.

That’s where I come in.

You book in
Your muscles whisper, I listen
I do exactly what they’re asking for
You leave feeling like a completely different person

Muscle whisperer at work 🤲🏽

Some people talk to plants. I talk to muscles.

Book your appointment — let’s give your body the conversation it’s been waiting for.

There’s nothing quite like finishing a massage with a soothing scalp massage.

Gentle pressure, calming movements and that final moment of relaxation help you switch off, release tension and leave feeling completely refreshed.

Because the perfect massage should end with you feeling relaxed from head to toe.

Sometimes one treatment can make a bigger difference than you expect …

Thank you Jackie Greig for sharing your experience and feedback
because it really highlights why I do what I do at KA Therapies. 💙

Jackie was recommended to me by one of my regular clients and travelled from Motherwell to have a treatment from me.

As a busy hairdresser, Jackie spends her days constantly on the go — working full-time in a busy salon as well as doing homers. She had been struggling with ongoing neck and shoulder pain, tightness and a burning sensation around her shoulder blades.

She had already tried different treatments with other therapists, but nothing had given her the relief she was looking for.

During her KCR session, Jackie could feel the tension beginning to release. By the end, she was amazed at how different her body felt.

A few days later, she contacted me to tell me that the burning pain she had been experiencing in her neck and shoulder blades had gone, she felt more energetic and described feeling like she had been given a whole new body. 🥰

She has rebooked and is following the aftercare advice and treatment plan we discussed so that we can continue working together to support her body alongside her busy lifestyle.

And this is something I’m incredibly proud of…

People travel to KA Therapies from Motherwell and further afield.

Why?

Because KCR is only one part of what I offer.

It’s the years of experience.
It’s understanding the body.
It’s taking the time to listen.
It’s creating a space where you feel comfortable and understood.
It’s tailoring each treatment to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

And most importantly, it’s about how I want every person who walks through my door to feel when they leave.

Thank you, Jackie, for trusting me and for sharing such beautiful feedback.

Your words genuinely mean the world.

If your body has been telling you it needs some attention, perhaps it’s time to listen and book a visit to Kirsty Anderson | KCR Therapist & Certified Trainer
