It’s World Autism Awareness day so what better time to highlight the ways we help support our neurodiverse patients. It’s estimated that 15-20% of the UK population are neurodiverse, and around 3% of the population are estimated to have autism.

As a neurodiverse owned company, we understand that accessing healthcare can be challenging. The worries about appointment times, communicating with a stranger, visiting somewhere new and sensory overload are just some of the common issues that arise.

We spent the morning carrying out our annual certification in emergency life support. Along with other local podiatrists we made sure our team are all ready to deal with medical emergencies and refreshed our defibrillator training. Thanks to Elaine from TTC Medical for another wonderful course.

We have a new team member! Welcome to the team Roselyn (Rose) Eyoessien 😃 Rose is an HCPC registered podiatrist and will be offering general care appointments with us on Fridays and Saturdays from late March. She’s available to book online now or by calling reception.

Get to know Rose:
A graduate of the University of Galway in 2021, Rose moved to Belfast after graduation to take up a post in private practice. She continued her studies alongside her clinical work and graduated with a Master’s degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Ulster University in 2022. She relocated to Scotland in 2026 and currently splits her time between studying for her Master’s degree in physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University and working as a podiatrist. She will be heading to the Sahara Desert in April as she joins the medical team at the legendary Marathon de Sables.

Outside of work Rose enjoys travelling, going to the cinema and meeting up with her friends.
