The Body That Keeps Changing

By the time you reach the end of pregnancy, your body will have changed in ways you never imagined. Pregnancy yoga is designed to move with every single stage of that.

In the first trimester, it’s often about gentleness. Managing fatigue, nausea, and the quiet anxiety of early pregnancy. Creating space to breathe when everything feels uncertain. (This is where I offer 1-2-1 support)

In the second, (this is when you can come to class) energy often returns and we can work more deeply — building strength in the glutes, back, and pelvic floor. Supporting that growing bump. Finding length and space in a body that’s starting to feel the pressure.

In the third, it shifts again. (This is when you are ready for adaptations) Comfort becomes key. Positions that ease pelvic girdle pain. Breathing techniques that calm the nervous system. Preparing the mind and body for what’s ahead.

No two pregnancies are the same. No two bodies are the same. That’s why every class is adaptable, inclusive, and led with care.

More Than a Yoga Teacher

You might come to me for pregnancy yoga. But the support I offer runs a lot deeper than that.

Alongside my yoga and fitness qualifications, I’m also a qualified teacher in the lifelong learning sector which means I understand how people learn, how to communicate complex information clearly, and how to create a space where everyone feels included and capable.

😊 I also have years of experience in early years education and childcare. I understand child development, infant feeding, and the transition into parenthood — not just the pregnancy part, but what comes after.

❓So when you’re in my class and you have questions. When you’re not sure what’s normal. When you want to talk through feeding worries or what to expect in those first weeks. I’m not just guessing. I have the knowledge, the training, and the experience to actually help.

This is a space where you can ask the questions you’re a bit afraid to ask elsewhere.

My own experience.

I don’t teach pregnancy yoga because it looked like a nice thing to do. I teach it because I know what it feels like to need it.

My own path to pregnancy wasn’t straightforward. There was trying, and waiting, and the particular kind of hope that comes with uncertainty. The kind that sits quietly in the background of everything.

And when pregnancy came, so did anxiety. Worry about what could go wrong. Hypervigilance around every symptom and every scan. The gap between being pregnant and feeling safe in that pregnancy.

I remember wishing I had somewhere to go that felt calm. Somewhere that acknowledged that growing a baby is emotional as well as physical. Somewhere that didn’t just celebrate pregnancy but actually held the complicated parts of it too.

That’s the space I try to create every single week.

Not a performance of glowing wellness. A real, warm, honest place where you can feel however you feel - and yet still leave feeling stronger than when you walked in.

My life is feeling aligned!

Today in my college teaching role we began to learn about Postnatal Depression. This is part of their course as they are studying mental health.

I took them through the different aspects of early parenting and we then took our learning into the sunshine ☀️ to take part in some research stations.
