I am so incredibly excited to finally introduce myself and share the heart behind this new venture.
For those who don't know me, I am a senior care worker, housekeeper and third-year student midwife. Over the course of my training, I’ve had the absolute privilege of supporting women through their birthing journeys. However, I kept noticing a significant gap in care once families returned home.
During my postnatal visits, I often found myself wishing I could stay longer. I’ve sat with so many exhausted new mums who opened up to me about how much they were struggling not just with the overwhelming transition of a newborn, but with the pressure of keeping up with the house, the laundry, and the daily chores.
I realised that families don't just need medical check-ups; they need practical, nurturing, everyday support so they can actually rest, recover, and bond.
That’s where my idea for Beyond the Bump was born! 💡
By combining my clinical knowledge of newborn care with my background in professional housekeeping, I’ve created a service designed to wrap around families when they need it most. Whether it’s taking over baby duty so you can catch up on critical, uninterrupted sleep, or taking care of the hoovering, mopping, and laundry piles... I am here to lighten the load.
