The best way to find out who we are and how we work as a college, is to ask our students, especially those who have been with us for several seasons. How does it feel when we all gather together? Our Year 3 student Debbie sent us this heartfelt poem which says so much about the potency of NWCH. What a great description of the feel, the essence and the experience of studying with us. What is College?
Is it a building, a feeling, a group?
It is all these.
And more.
It is happiness, learning, company.
It is people, love, nourishment
For the Soul.
From the red bricks ooze knowledge, knowing and whispers of words said and gone,
But they leave their energy imprints and there are none,
That are wasted.
College is heart, it is love, for everyone and everything; it brings to life our aspirations and dreams
And everything seems
Possible
And in its embrace, we can achieve all we wish for.
It is Homeopathy at its best
Nudging our Vital Force into harmony, encouraging us to
Rest
When needed.
Encouraging us into action, into living life to the full, and bringing healing.
It is a feeling.
A feeling of becoming whole,
A feeling that our Soul
Is being nudged gently to our Goal.
A feeling of acceptance, of belonging to something bigger than us,
But that is still a part of us,
And we are part of it.
Each person has their place here,
Student, Lecturer, Admin and Tech, Principal and Pastoral care
Yet we all share
A common goal –
to share, encourage, support, learn, love and become
Whole.
It is Creation, and we Create here,
There is nothing to fear here,
We give, we receive and balance is restored
It is Home from Home.
It is togetherness, expressing emotions, sharing food and laughter
And then after -
We can heal
So, what is College – to You?
