An evidenced based snapshot overview of our specialised support service, 'Live at Ease', supporting ex-forces living with autism and/or ADHD (diagnosed and undiagnosed) or an acquired brain injury who live in the North West.

A huge thank you for the continued support from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust and the amazing Veterans' Foundation , without their support this vitally needed service wouldn't exist that so many unheard voices rely on for help and support.

Sadly there are still many Public and 3rd Sector services within Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire, the Wirral, and Merseyside (including national service charities) still blinkered to the difficulties and barriers that neurodivergent ex forces face when trying to access and engage with mainstream services, and activities. This is a huge gap and issue in service provision that we are addressing.

Disability Stockport is a current member of Cobseo, the Confederation of Service Charities.

Disability Stockport has an exciting opportunity to join our Outreach Team supporting disabled adults across Stockport.

We are looking for kind, understanding and hardworking people who are passionate about making a real difference in their community.

🕒 Hours:
Monday to Friday
Full-time and part-time posts available

📍 About the role:
You will be supporting adults with learning disabilities, sensory and physical disabilities, and autism in the community. This includes:
• Supporting people with shopping
• Attending social groups
• Accompanying people to medical appointments
• Providing practical, day-to-day support

🚗 Drivers preferred, as the role involves travelling to different locations.
