RECLAIM Your LIFE course (6 weeks) at Re:dish - STARTS: Saturday 12 September 10.00am-12.00noon

Here are the details of the course outline & a promotional leaflet - attached.

It starts on Saturday 12 September, for 6 weeks. 10.00am - 12.00noon. The course describes itself like this:

HEALTH AND WELLBEING COMMUNITY COURSES
Siyanda Development delivers the Live Life To The Full (LLTTF) and Reclaim Your Life (RYL) community courses. The core aims of courses teaches life skills that enable individuals to live happier, fulfilled, positive and confident life thereby realising positive health and wellbeing.
RECLAIM YOUR LIFE (RYL)
A Life skills course that can change your life by highlighting that your life is more important than your illness. It is delivered in 6 fun friendly sessions of 75 – 90 minutes each.
TARGET GROUP
Anyone with chronic or life changing conditions including cancer, disability, chronic pain, fatigue, recurring illness, unexplained symptoms, stroke, depression, MS, sight impairment, poor mobility

CASTING CALL OPPORTUNITY -

On behalf of the new Mayor, GMCA are planning a Greater Manchester Cost of Living event towards the end of September, following the Mayor’s commitment to put the cost of living high on the agenda and look at what more can be done across Greater Manchester.

They are looking to open the event with a short film, around two minutes, which sets out some of the challenges residents are facing now, why change is needed and what needs to happen next.

Given the work the GMCA / Mayor's office has done with the GM Disabled People’s Panel, the GMCA are particularly keen to make sure the film reflects the experiences of disabled residents, including some of the additional pressures around food, heating, household bills and the wider cost of living.

GMCA will be bringing in a videographer and would ideally like to speak to one or two people with lived experience who would be comfortable appearing briefly in the film and talking about their experiences, the challenges they face and what they would like to see change.

If you would like to go viral representing the Panel 😊 please let me know. GMCA will speak to you beforehand and make sure you are comfortable with what was involved before any filming.

Unfortunately our Neuroflow social group at Re:dish has been cancelled this afternoon due to illness.

We are very sorry for the disappointment and look forward to next week's session.
