The Summer Solstice is almost here.

It is time to take a pause to reflect on the journey so far this year. It is time to pause and observe where you are thriving and what is draining you. It is time to pause and step into the second half of the year with direction and purpose.

As we approach the half way point in the year take a moment to reflect on what you have achieved so far this year. It might be something like coming to yoga every week or it might be nurturing a more peaceful approach to living.

As the wheel of the year reaches its peak, there is an irony many of us know well.

With Summer's long days and full calendars it can seem as if we never get to rest. Giving, organising, showing up for everyone but ourselves.

A Sanctuary & Self session is an invitation to step out of that current. Three hours held gently and with intention, where you are the one who gets to arrive. To be still. To be heard. To remember what it feels like when someone tends to you for a change.

We'll move through whatever your body and spirit are asking for — which might be stillness, or breath, or gentle movement, or simply the quiet luxury of being asked how are you really?

If summer has already started to feel like something to get through rather than something to savour, this might be exactly what you need.

Something is shifting.

The hot weather last week brought with it the joy of cool walks in the long evening light and with it the promise of Summer.

Summer living is very different from Winter living. The abundance of sunlight pulls us outside. The call to activity and busyness is strong. It is easy to forget that stillness and rest are necessary too.

This year I'm taking the time to savour this seasonal shift, to pause, to reflect on the journey so far, and to notice what this season is asking of me.

What is summer asking of you?

- take your yoga practice outside (I am a bid fan of moving in the morning outside and yoga nidra in the evening outside)
- forage for fresh flowers from your garden
