🏳️‍🌈 Celebrating Pride at Marple Lodge🏳️‍🌈

Today we came together to celebrate Pride, alongside Manchester Pride, with a wonderful afternoon of learning, reflection and celebration. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Our residents and staff enjoyed an educational talk exploring LGBTQ+ history, including the history of the Pride movement, the journey towards equality and some of the important milestones that have shaped society over the years. Held by Wayne our fantastic activities coordinator!

It was fantastic to see residents sharing memories, thoughts and experiences, while learning from each other and celebrating how far we have come.

Of course, no Pride celebration would be complete without plenty of rainbow colours, music, laughter and treats! 🌈🎶🍰

Pride is about equality, acceptance, inclusion and being proud of who we are. We are proud to create a home where everyone is treated with dignity, respect and kindness, and where everyone can be themselves. 🏳️‍🌈❤️
