September is Su***de Prevention Month. 💛🧡

Su***de is something we need to be able to talk about openly, honestly and without judgement. These conversations can feel difficult, but creating space for people to speak about how they are feeling is an important part of challenging stigma and making it easier to reach out for support.

Someone experiencing suicidal thoughts may not always show obvious signs, and there is no single way that struggling looks. Checking in, listening without judgement and taking someone seriously can all make a difference.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we believe nobody should feel they have to struggle alone. We provide free mental health and wellbeing support, including counselling and wider practical support, to veterans, serving personnel, military families and the wider community.

Throughout September, we’ll be helping to raise awareness, challenge the stigma surrounding su***de and encourage more open conversations about mental health.

If you are struggling, or you’re worried about someone you know, please reach out. We’re here to listen, and we’re here to support you.

Talk. Listen. Support.

How often do we actually stop and check in with our own mental health?

Changes aren't always immediately obvious. Sleep may become more difficult, everyday pressures can start to feel overwhelming, we might withdraw from the people around us, or simply recognise that we haven't felt quite like ourselves lately.

Noticing these changes early can be important. Sometimes reaching out sooner can help prevent things from becoming harder to manage.

If any of this feels familiar, it might be worth checking in with someone too. At Mode, you can reach out without knowing exactly what support you need. We'll take the time to listen, understand what's going on and work out what might help.

Everyone deserves to have somewhere to turn when they need support.

We provide free, person-centred support to members of the Armed Forces Community and the wider community, helping people through mental health challenges, trauma, complex needs and difficult circumstances.

Our support goes beyond counselling. From advocacy and practical guidance to peer support and mentoring, we take the time to understand each person's individual needs, because knowing what support you need isn't always straightforward.

Whatever you're facing, you can get in touch and talk to us about what's going on. Together, we can look at how we may be able to help.

Start with a conversation. We'll take it from there.

When we're feeling overwhelmed, it can be difficult to know where to start. Our thoughts can feel busy, and even everyday tasks can suddenly seem much bigger than they are.

That's why going back to the basics can be so helpful.

Simple actions like drinking some water, stepping outside, taking a few deep breaths or completing one small task give us something manageable to focus on in the present moment.

These things may seem small, but when life feels overwhelming, small actions can help restore a sense of routine, stability and control. Sometimes, focusing on what you can do right now is enough. 💙

Today is PTSD Awareness Day.

PTSD is often described as an invisible wound because its effects cannot always be seen. While the signs may not be obvious to others, the impact can be significant, affecting thoughts, emotions, relationships, sleep, and everyday life.

Today is an opportunity to recognise the impact of trauma, challenge misconceptions, and increase understanding of PTSD.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we are committed to supporting those affected by trauma. If you would like more information about PTSD, or would like to discuss the support available, please get in touch.

Today, we honour the dedication, courage, and sacrifice shown by members of the Armed Forces community.

We also recognise the families, loved ones, and support networks whose support makes a difference every day.

Whether serving today, having served in the past, or supporting someone who wears or has worn the uniform, your contribution matters.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we are honoured to stand alongside the Armed Forces community and support those who have given so much in service to others.

Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifice. And thank you for all that you continue to do.

To all those who serve, have served, and who stand alongside those who do, we honour you today.

What a fantastic day in Fleetwood for Mind on the Move!

Today, the Mode Rehabilitation team were out in the community, providing a welcoming space for people to stop by for a brew and a chat, access wellbeing resources, and learn more about the support available to them.

One of the things we're most passionate about is making support more visible, accessible, and easier to reach. We know that taking the first step can sometimes feel difficult, which is why initiatives like Mind on the Move are so important. By bringing support directly into local communities, we can help start conversations, build connections, and ensure people know where to turn when they need help.

We're committed to doing all we can to ensure nobody slips through the cracks and that support reaches those who may otherwise struggle to access it.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat with us today. Every conversation matters, and it was a pleasure to spend the day connecting with the Fleetwood community.

Keep an eye out for Mind on the Move in your area soon! 🚐

Mental health is about more than mental health.

Housing concerns, physical health, financial pressures, relationship difficulties, social isolation, and changes in purpose or identity can all have a significant impact on a person's mental health.

Understanding the wider factors influencing someone's life helps create a clearer picture of their experiences, needs, and the support that may be most beneficial.

At Mode Rehabilitation, we take a whole-person approach to support. By recognising the connections between different aspects of a person's life, we can provide more personalised, effective, and meaningful support that reflects their individual circumstances.

Because when we understand the whole picture, we are better able to support the whole person.

If you feel you could benefit from support, we're here to help.

Not every difficult battle is visible.

Many people spend years carrying pressure silently because they believe they should.

At Mode, we create safe, judgement-free spaces where people can speak honestly about the battles others cannot see.
