Yep my own children have to pay half their pip care element towards their support package , then they have to cover entry, food, drink, fuel or travel costs for their support worker if they go out for a meal etc .. If they have savings that gets taken into consideration as well , if left inheritance that gets taken towards their costs of support to .. Going away on a short stay or holiday you have to pay overnight fee plus all the support workers costs while away including travel, accomadation, food, drink etc (which obviously you would do) but being disabled and receiving PIP and a support package means you are stuck in a financial trap ..

To many people don't see the true reality of someone who requires support to live and be independent they just listen to social media s**t and ignorant people who don't actually ever see real side of having disabilities and requiring PIP etc 😩😢

Gluten Free Eaters....look!!! A night dedicated to you! Rainbow88 was the first Chinese in the area to introduce GF on our menu 10 years ago! We know how important it is from having allergies to certain foods ourselves! Then during Covid times we made the menu even bigger & it went from strength to strength! Our food is prepared, cooked and deep fried separately and we are strong about serving utensils! Many of our dishes are now made Gluten Free for non Gluten Free eaters and you cannot tell the difference and some just order from our Gluten Free menu

Here we have 9 items for you to try. We can substitute certain meals if needed. Children G/F menu separate up to 12 yrs, Prawn Crackers, choice of main & dessert. Vegan or Vegetarian we can tailor make.
Drinks can be ordered separately and our Gluten Free b**r is Peroni. Please book for this event with a £10pp deposit as we are expecting it to be busy. If you cannot make it we will honour the deposit anither time. Many thanks :)

Remember we kick off our Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising on Weds 2nd September with Create & Sip hosted by Jenny at The Creation Station Stockport Central and East. We still have availabilty, no experience is needed and all materials are supplied including the vase which I'm sure will come in use! It will be fun, the fizz I'm sure will be most welcomed and a raffle for Breast Cancer Now & Prevent Breast Cancer 🎀

The study, led by DWP minister Sir Stephen Timms, is looking at a variety of issues and how to reform the benefit to fit the current age and the needs of disabled people and those with a long-term health condition.

🏟 | 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗔

This Pre-Season, SHB Player Adam Knight embraced every opportunity that came his way and got to represent the Bees playing on the pitches at Boundary Park, Old Trafford and Gigg Lane.

Think about that for a second. Three iconic football grounds packed with history. Three pitches where generations of footballers have played, where childhood heroes have made memories and where so many fans have stood watching their teams.

And then there's Adam, a grassroots footballer, pulling on the Shaw Heath Bees shirt and getting the chance to experience it for himself.

That's what we love about football. It's not always about the result. Sometimes it's about standing on a pitch and taking a moment to realise just where you are. It's about looking around and thinking, “I'm actually here.”

It's about the memories you make with your teammates and the stories you'll tell long after the boots have been put away.
