How painful is too painful when it comes to your periods? 🌸
Period pain is common, but pain that regularly stops you doing the things you normally would shouldn't simply be dismissed as something you have to put up with.
It may be worth seeking advice if your periods are:
🌸 Painful enough to affect work, exercise or everyday activities
🌸 Becoming heavier, longer or more painful
🌸 Causing you to regularly rely on pain relief
🌸 Accompanied by pain at other times of the month
🌸 Affecting your sleep, relationships or quality of life
Heavy or painful periods can have a number of possible causes. Conditions such as endometriosis and adenomyosis are among those that may be associated with significant period pain and other symptoms.
Understanding what's behind your symptoms is an important first step. An appropriate Women's Health assessment can help investigate the possible cause and allow you to discuss what treatment or support may be suitable.
💙 If your periods are having a significant impact on your life, you don't have to simply accept them as your normal.
