Throughout June, we celebrate Pride Month – a time to recognise, support, and celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Pride Month honours the diversity of sexual orientations and gender identities while recognising the history, achievements, and contributions of LGBTQ+ people around the world. It is also an opportunity to reflect on the challenges that many still face and to promote equality, inclusion, and respect for all.

Pride is a joyful celebration of love, unity, resilience, and community. Across the month, events and activities bring people together to celebrate diversity, raise awareness, and champion a more inclusive society.

This Pride Month, let's continue to create communities where everyone feels valued, respected, and able to be their authentic selves.

South Gloucestershire Council is looking to speak with people who feel concerned about their alcohol use and may be unsure about how to access support or make changes.

Your experiences can help us better understand the needs of local residents and shape more effective support services in South Gloucestershire.

A confidential and anonymous conversation with a public health researcher
Lasts approximately 30–45 minutes
Participants will receive a £25 voucher as a thank you for their time

Pre-eclampsia is caused by a defect in the placenta, which forms the vital link between mother and baby. Worldwide, nearly 76,000 mothers and 500,000 babies lose their lives each year due to pre-eclampsia and related disorders during pregnancy.

Recognising the symptoms early, and ensuring a swift response from healthcare professionals, is essential to reducing the risk of serious illness and death.

Global Accessibility Awareness Day aims to get everyone talking, thinking and learning about digital access and inclusion.

There are more than one billion people worldwide with disabilities and impairments, and many of them struggle to interact with digital systems due to issues such as poor design, complex language, no alt text or captioning, and navigation difficulties.

🧠💙 During Dementia Action Week, Avon and Somerset Police and the fire service are highlighting a vital scheme designed to help protect people living with dementia.

Families can register their loved ones so that, if they ever go missing, police already have important details on record - helping save valuable time when it matters most.

The scheme also offers access to FREE assistance devices to help support safety and independence at home.

A simple step that could make a huge difference for families affected by dementia.
