Yoga is as mentally and spiritually beneficial as it is physically beneficial - creating change from within - balancing the body, mind and soul. It is so much more than just an exercise class - enhancing every aspect of your life by promoting general well-being. Many of today’s popular wellness practices—mindfulness, breathwork, meditation, gratitude, nervous system regulation, and holistic movement approaches—reflect principles that yoga has been teaching for centuries.

In a world of ever-changing wellness trends, perhaps it’s time to remember that Yoga is not just a physical exercise; it is an ancient science of body, mind, and spirit...
It is a path of self-awareness, balance, connection, and transformation.

Ancient wisdom. Timeless relevance. 🙏✨

Thank you, The Yogini World for this wonderful reminder of how profound and timeless yoga really is. 🙏✨

Do you believe - in the ‘BS’ - that ageing automatically means stiffness, aches, pains, and less freedom of movement?

I don’t.

Whilst our bodies naturally change over time, many of the things we associate with ageing are often linked to how much—or how little—we move.

Yin Yoga, Bowen Therapy, self-myofascial release, breathwork, walking, dancing, and mindful movement can all help support healthy fascia, mobility, balance, and overall wellbeing.

Movement is medicine.

The chair may be one of the biggest contributors to stiffness in modern life. So get up, move, stretch, breathe, and give your body the attention it deserves.

Want more freedom in your body?

Invest in your health and wellbeing! Join me for Yin Yoga or Bowen Therapy here in Stoke Holy Cross, Norfolk, come on retreat with me in November, or enjoy a private yoga retreat in the beautiful Norfolk countryside.

Move. Breathe. Release. Reconnect. 💜

Savasana — the final resting pose in yoga. Not just a time to relax, but a time to let go.

As daylight fades, our bodies naturally begin to prepare for rest. Nature invites us to slow down, soften, and turn inward.

In yoga, we often use this quiet space to connect with a Sankalpa — a heartfelt desire, an intention planted gently in the heart to grow in the fertile soil of the subconscious mind.

Perhaps before sleep tonight - instead of focusing on everything that’s left to do, whatever is ‘wrong’ and bad in the world - choose to focus on what you wish to grow.

‘I am at peace.’

‘I am enough.’

‘I trust life.’

Just like the guinea fowls settling into the safety of the night, we too can surrender, rest, and allow ourselves to be restored.”

Sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves… is simply to pause, breathe, and just be. ✨

This morning’s wall yoga class was a gentle reminder that slowing down is not wasting time — it’s reconnecting with yourself.
Breath by breath. Moment by moment.
Finding calm in the chaos. 🤍
