πΎ BACK TO SCHOOL SEMH SUPPORT β NOW AVAILABLE π΄πΏ
For many children and young people, returning to school after the summer holidays can feel overwhelming. Changes in routine, new classrooms, increased expectations, social pressures and anxiety can all have a significant impact on emotional wellbeing.
At Furry Friends Therapy CIC, we provide nurturing, therapeutic support for children and young people who may be struggling with SEMH, SEND, anxiety, confidence, emotional regulation, school engagement or social interaction.
π Our Onsite Farm Days
Our unique farm-based provision gives children and young people the opportunity to step away from the pressures of a traditional classroom and learn in a calm, supportive environment.
Sessions can include:
π΄ Equine-assisted activities
π° Animal-assisted therapy and animal care
π³ Forest School and outdoor learning
π§ Emotional wellbeing interventions
π¬ Confidence and self-esteem building
π€ Social skills and relationship building
πΏ Sensory and regulation activities
π¨ Creative and therapeutic activities
β€οΈ Bespoke 1:1 and small-group support
Our approach is child-centred and individualised, allowing us to build trusted relationships and work at a pace that is right for each young person.
We can support children who are:
β¨ Struggling to attend or engage with school
β¨ Experiencing anxiety or emotional dysregulation
β¨ At risk of exclusion
β¨ Finding friendships or social situations difficult
β¨ Struggling with confidence or self-esteem
β¨ Needing a nurturing environment to help them re-engage with education
β¨ Requiring additional SEND or SEMH support
π« We can also come to you!
Alongside our onsite provision, we offer outreach sessions within schools and other settings, bringing our therapeutic animals and emotional wellbeing support directly to children and young people.
Our outreach provision can be tailored around the needs of individual pupils or small groups and can complement the support already being provided by school.
πΎ Sometimes a different environment, a trusted adult and the unconditional connection created through animals can be the starting point a child needs to begin engaging again.
If you are a school, SENCO, Alternative Provision lead, Local Authority professional, parent or carer looking for additional SEMH or SEND support, we would love to hear from you.
