Our Longton Park Walk today went so fast..! We were chatting away and before we knew it, it was time for our cuppa at Forresters already!

It was great to see everyone as always, welcoming some new people as well today. The great thing about today, was we bumped into Isla Telford and her team from so in true Walk Talk Action style we asked them about what they were up to and introduced both groups to upcoming and current opportunities.

An hour and a half out of your day to simply, clock up some steps, breathe in some fresh air whilst enjoying the company of others that's what today was about.

I have added some photos from last week as we saw a turtle on the lake! 🐢 I thought we were seeing things!

Missing Walk Leader Steven Wraxton as he is away, so it was Walk Leader Teri Bryce today! Steve will be back next week tho! 🙌 Wishing him a great holiday!!

Ah it was wonderful to see everyone at Tea & Toast this morning..! I was running fashionably late but with a great team of volunteers everything was set up and running smoothly 🧡

It was lovely to catch up! We had two little helpers today as not all schools have gone back yet, however paper aeroplanes and walkie talkies were a huge hit!

Next week we have a special guest coming in to deliver a workshop all about: Capturing Remembrance Photography Project with the National Memorial Arboretum.

That's a wrap..!

We had our last summer trip yesterday, with huge thanks to Ruby at Appetite and our wonderful host Helen.

The day was about bringing people of all ages together and experiencing something new. The weather created another realm of adversity, this changed our timetable slightly, however, as a group we stuck together and didn't let the downpours stop us. We saw some fantastic acts and witnessed some intriguing performances.

, and ! Were just a few of the artists we saw and they proved to be a huge hit especially Go Grandad Go, they were brilliant, dancing, singing and got the crowd going!

Partnerships with different organisations help us to reach out of our comfort zone, create new opportunities to meet new people and explore new places. It's all about connection and sometimes you can just be in the right place at the right time. Those authentic conversations and memories created from experiences shared with others can change a person's whole world.

For anyone wishing to know more, the Big Feast festival is on again today (Saturday 29th August) with different acts performing all around Hanley Town Centre.

It was so lovely to see some familiar faces too! Craig (who is doing incredible by the way following his dream..!), Lynn Sharpe and Laura Bailey!

Thank you to everyone who attended and we look forwards to seeing you all and welcoming the new participants in September 🧡
