YAS CFR, Stokesley & Hutton Rudby Community First Responders We are volunteers trained by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to respond to 999 calls in Stokesley and the surrounding area alongside the ambulance service

We are a team volunteers trained by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service to respond to urgent 999 calls in Stokesley and the surrounding area. As authorised volunteers for the ambulance service, we work as part of a dedicated team whose aim is to reduce the number of Pre-Hospital deaths in Yorkshire. We are trained by YAS in basic life support skills, CPR and the use of Automated External Defibrillators, and Oxygen Therapy. We work alongside the YAS crew and are not a replacement for the 999 service. We are always backed up by a YAS clinician. Our role is that of a first responder.

Busy Times Across North Yorkshire!
It’s been a busy and rewarding few weeks for our Community First Responders!
👏 Congratulations to Simon and Sandy from Stokesley CFR Scheme and Darren from Richmond CFR Scheme, who were recently presented with their long service certificates in recognition of their dedication and commitment to supporting their communities.
🎓 We’ve also successfully completed another set of clinical days on our Community First Responder training course. Manual Handling next week 😊 and then these CFRs will be in your community supporting Patient Care. A huge thank you to North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service for the use of their station and ongoing support. We’re delighted to welcome new CFRs who will be joining the Catterick and Stokesley schemes.
🚑 Our volunteers have also been out and about in the community:
Helen from Brompton on Swale Scheme, alongside fellow CFRs, attended the Brompton on Swale and Catterick Open Days.
Sophie from Bedale Scheme and other CFRs represented us at the Bedale Emergency Services Event.
📍 This Saturday, why not come along and say hello to Team Leader Lee and our CFR volunteers at the Richmond Emergency Services Day? We'd love to meet you, answer any questions about volunteering, and show you how Community First Responders help save lives across our local communities.
