The end of exam season is finally in sight 🎓

For many GCSE and A-Level students, the past few weeks have been filled with revision, pressure, long days, and plenty of stress.

As the final exams approach and the hard work comes to an end, now is a good time to unwind and switch off for a awhile.

Did you know stress can show up in your feet? 👣

Many people think of stress as something that only affects the mind.

But stress can also show up physically in the body, through tension, poor sleep, headaches, digestive issues, and feelings of fatigue.

In reflexology, the feet are viewed as a map of the body, with different areas corresponding to different organs, glands and systems.

That's one reason why many people find reflexology such a relaxing and restorative experience. Taking time to slow down, switch off and focus on your wellbeing can benefit both body and mind.

A little introduction 👋

For those who are new here, I'm Jayne.

For over 20 years, I've been helping people take time out from busy lives, manage stress, and support their wellbeing through complementary therapies.

My journey into this work began when reflexology helped me during my own fertility challenges. The experience had such a positive impact on me that it inspired me to train as a Reflexologist and support others on their own wellbeing journeys.

Today, alongside Reflexology, I also offer Reiki, Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candling, Zone Face Lift and Heart-Based Intuitive Coaching.

One of the things I love most about my work is creating a calm, welcoming space where people can relax, switch off, and focus on themselves for a while.

I'm based in Ettington near Stratford-upon-Avon and also practise from clinics in Stratford-upon-Avon and Leamington Spa.

Take a moment to think about what you'd like June to feel like.

Not what you'd like to achieve.
Not a new goal.
Not another to-do list.

Confidence and self-esteem aren’t things we’re simply born with — they’re built little by little through how we speak to ourselves, how we care for ourselves, and the small actions we take each day.

A few gentle reminders if you’ve been feeling low in confidence lately:

- celebrate small wins
- challenge negative self-talk
- spend time with people who lift you up
- learn to protect your energy and set boundaries
- be kinder to yourself when things don’t go perfectly

Confidence often grows quietly, through small moments of self-belief and self-care.

And sometimes simply slowing down, reconnecting with yourself, and giving yourself space to breathe can make a real difference too!

Menopause can affect so much more than people often realise.

From hot flushes and disrupted sleep to mood changes, brain fog and aching joints, the symptoms can feel exhausting both physically and emotionally.

Many women look for gentle ways to support themselves during this time, whether through lifestyle changes, relaxation, or holistic therapies.

Reflexology is often chosen as a way to encourage deep relaxation and help calm the nervous system. As stress can sometimes intensify symptoms, creating space for rest and balance may help you feel more supported through the transition.

Struggling to sleep in the heat? 🌙

Hot weather can make it much harder for the body to properly relax and settle at night.

If you’ve been tossing and turning lately, these simple summer tips can really help:

- stay hydrated throughout the day
- keep curtains and blinds closed during the day to stop rooms overheating
- place a bowl of ice or frozen water bottle in front of a fan for cooler air
- switch to lighter cotton bedding and sleepwear
- take a lukewarm shower before sleep to help cool your body naturally
- use a cool flannel on your neck, wrists or feet before bed

Sometimes small changes can make warm nights feel a little more manageable.
