One from a little while back… 🐙

Really enjoyed this one. The main body of the octopus is fully healed here, whilst the tentacles were freshly tattooed in this session — gives a nice comparison between the settled tones and the fresh contrast straight out of the chair.

The flow and movement in octopus pieces always make them a lot of fun to design, especially when you can let the tentacles wrap naturally with the anatomy.

“Not every warrior carries a weapon… some carry the wilderness in their soul.”

Awesome piece created for Connor, reworking an old tattoo he wasn’t happy with. Keeping the theme built around strength, instinct and survival — blending portrait realism with raw natural elements to create something atmospheric and timeless.

Numbing Cream — probably one of the most divisive subjects in modern tattooing. I’ve put together a detailed blog explaining why I personally choose not to use it, the impact it can have on the skin and healing process, and why the quality of the healed tattoo will always come first.

Tattoo numbing cream explained by a professional tattoo artist in Somerset. Learn why UK tattoo studios avoid numbing creams, how they affect healing, and why professional products like Biotat support better tattoo results.

Most people think a cover-up tattoo is about hiding something.
It isn’t. It’s about control, contrast, and directing the eye.

I wrote a full guide explaining how cover-ups actually work, what’s possible, and what’s not.
