UHCW are currently doing a bowel screening campaign highlighting the importance of completing your home test kits. If you’re sent an NHS bowel screening kit,
put it by the loo. Don’t put it off.

If you're aged 50 to 74 and registered with a GP, you'll automatically get a bowel cancer screening home test kit (FIT kit) through the post every 2 years. If you do not get your results within 2 weeks, you can call the free bowel cancer screening helpline on 0800 707 6060.

For more information on why bowel screening is so important and how to do the test visit https://www.nhs.uk/tests-and-treatments/bowel-cancer-screening/

This Type 2 Diabetes Prevention Week, we are encouraging people to take simple but powerful steps to reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes — a condition that affects millions across the UK and can lead to serious health complications if left unmanaged.

Anyone can develop type 2 diabetes, but certain factors can increase your risk, such as high blood pressure. You can significantly reduce your risk by making small lifestyle changes with support from the Healthier You programme. Check your risk today at https://riskscore.diabetes.org.uk/
