I wrote a and cookbook and self-published it. Lick Your Plate!
I did the whole thing myself (with help) which I’m so proud of but it cost me some sanity amongst other things.
I was convinced I wanted a front cover photo of me licking a plate but it was….mission impossible.
The harder I tried the more awful things went. Thanks to some dear friends who tried their best shooting again and again but to no avail.
James you were particularly helpful but your subject just didn’t have it quite right.
Here are some take outs that just make me laugh and show how badly I wanted that photo…to giving up and letting it rip.
So, in the end someone said if the title already says lick your plate then the photo should be different. Oh. Good information. Anyway, I chose the last one in a rush when the printers were waiting for the cover.

Don’t rush with your cover. I could have probably chosen a better photo but the last one is it now.
Life’s lessons never stop. May this be a reminder to you to be flexible with your creative visions and take your time deciding on something that will be printed a thousand times.

I won! Thank you and for my raffle ticket win on Saturdays full moon costume ball fundraiser!!!
I felt so overdressed in my clown wig and mini skirt but things took a turn when I WON!! 🎟️🤹🏼🎭🪇🎰🎯
I don’t often win things, so I jumped out of my skin with excitement. I so badly want to do more fooling, clowning improving so this comes at such a good time and I’m fully IN!
