🌑🍓 Strawberry New Moon

Tonight's Strawberry New Moon is a gentle reminder that not all growth is visible.

Some of the most important changes happen quietly — in the boundaries we set, the compassion we offer ourselves, and the small steps we take towards something new.

As this new lunar cycle begins, take a moment to pause and reflect:

✨ What am I ready to let go of?
✨ What do I want to nurture?
✨ What intention will I carry forward?

Just as fruit begins long before it's seen, so does growth.

Trust the process. 🌑🍓

Honouring independence
The teenage years are filled with change; emotionally, physically, and socially. It’s a time when many young people begin seeking more autonomy, but still need consistent support. Therapy offers them a space that’s theirs, a place where they can feel seen, heard, and understood without judgement.

What to expect
Walking therapy – Walk-and-talk sessions help young people feel more at ease, especially those who find traditional face-to-face settings overwhelming. Being outdoors can reduce pressure, support emotional regulation, and create a calmer, more grounded environment, particularly helpful for neurodivergent teens.

Creative & person‑centred – We explore what’s important to them. If and when they’re ready, we can introduce creative elements like drawing or movement to help process emotions.

Common focus areas:
Friendships and peer pressure
Anxiety or low mood
School and academic stress
Identity and self-worth
Navigating changes at home

Structure & duration:
I usually start with a four-week block of face to face sessions, which helps build trust and lets us assess what feels helpful. Parents are often involved through regular check-ins or review sessions, only ever with the young person’s consent and comfort in mind.

Typical next steps:
Book in a free 15-minute initial call – to check if I am the right therapist for you.
If you want to proceed, book in a consultation to understand you/your child’s needs and discuss how I might be able to help.
First four-week block – Build a safe, steady space for your teen to explore their world.
Reflect & review – We’ll adjust the pace and approach based on how your child is feeling and what they need.

What a beautiful gift that was made for me by one of my clients.

I feel so blessed and humbled by calling this life purpose of mine, a job. It is such an honour to walk this path next to each and every one of you through both the highs and the lows.

As the academic year is almost at the end, I have been able to really reflect on the last 2 years and how Cwtch-Therapy has reached so many beautiful souls.

I am honoured to be able to support, guide and be there when sometimes no-one else can or will. I will always strive to grow and expand in my knowledge and offerings to help and provide insight for whoever may need me.

I will be your eyes when you can no longer see the path, I will be your ears when it all feels too loud, I will be the calm as you navigate the storm, I will be the peace when all you feel is the chaos.

This is Cwtch-Therapy... it is the warm embrace of it's name. It is me!

How do I work with parents?
Parenting isn’t always intuitive and when your child is struggling, it can bring up all kinds of emotions in you. You’re not just here to support your child, this space is for you to be supported, too.

What to expect:
Individual parent sessions – Space to explore your own emotions, concerns, or parenting challenges in a calm and non-judgemental setting.
Joint parent sessions – For co-parents navigating conflict, resentment, or differences in parenting style. We can also work on clearer communication, sharing the emotional load, and creating a more balanced family dynamic.
Sessions for mothers – Focused time to talk about things like returning to work, mum guilt, changing identity, or the emotional impact of children growing older or leaving home.
Parent and child – Sessions focused on communication, connection, and strengthening the parent-child relationship.

Common focus areas:
Understanding your child’s behaviour and emotional needs
Managing your own emotional reactions, stress, or burnout
Navigating differences in parenting styles and reducing conflict between co-parents
Rebuilding trust or connection in your relationship with your child
Exploring your own parenting identity, especially during times of transition, such as returning to work or children becoming more independent
Making sense of feelings like guilt, resentment, or being emotionally stretched
Creating more balance in family roles and sharing the emotional load

Structure & duration:
Support is face to face or online, typically arranged in four-week cycles. There may be 1 parent or 2 parents together, or parent and child therapy.

Next steps:
Book in a free 15-minute initial call – to check if I am the right therapist for you.
Book in a consultation to share what’s going on at home and how you’d like to feel more supported.
Four-week block – Focused sessions for you, with flexible options based on your needs.
Ongoing reflection – We’ll regularly check in to ensure the support continues to feel relevant and effective.

How do I work with age 16 - 25 years?

Supporting life’s transitions:
This stage of life brings freedom, pressure, and important choices. Whether it’s navigating independence, identity, study, work, or relationships, therapy offers a steady space to reflect and regroup.

I work alongside young adults to help them understand their inner world, explore what matters most, and take steps toward their goals with more clarity and confidence.

What to expect:
Talking therapy & Tapping (EFT – Emotion Freedom Technique) – Combining conversation with gentle, body-based techniques can ease anxiety, overwhelm, or stress.
Planning for change – I use practical counselling tools including (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy – DBT), to help identify what you want and how to get there.
Connected support – If needed (and only with your agreement), I can liaise with school, university, or family to offer joined-up care.

Support is flexible:
Tailored sessions - face to face and/or online. I can shape the frequency and structure around what feels right for you. Whether weekly, fortnightly, or goal-based, I’ll build something that fits.

Typical next steps:
Book in a free 15-minute initial call – to check if I am the right therapist for you.
If you want to proceed, book in a consultation to talk about what you are experiencing and how I might be able to help.
First four-week block – We’ll begin our journey together, using creative tools to build trust, connection and understanding.
Review together – We’ll check in regularly and can adapt to flexible sessions that suit your pace and priorities.

Who do I work with?
Cwtch Therapy - Family Wellbeing works with children, parents and carers, from under 12s, 12-15, 16-25, and parents - learn more about each group below:

Under 12 years old:
Early childhood can bring overwhelming emotions, challenges, and experiences that children may struggle to make sense of. At this age, children may not yet have the words to describe how they feel. That’s why I create a safe, playful space where they can explore emotions through creativity, movement, and connection.

12-15 years:
The teenage years are filled with change; emotionally, physically, and socially. It’s a time when many young people begin seeking more autonomy, but still need consistent support. Therapy offers them a space that’s theirs, a place where they can feel seen, heard, and understood without judgement.

16-25 years:
This stage of life brings freedom, pressure, and important choices. Whether it’s navigating independence, identity, study, work, or relationships, therapy offers a steady space to reflect and regroup.

Parents:
Parenting isn’t always intuitive and when your child is struggling, it can bring up all kinds of emotions in you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure how to help, or caught in patterns that aren’t working, therapy offers a space to reflect, regroup, and feel more confident in your role.

I am deeply passionate about working with children, young people, and parents using alternative therapies alongside counselling and psychotherapy because I believe in the power of holistic, person-centred healing.

My approach recognises that not all wounds can be expressed in words, especially when trauma has been stored in the body from a young age. This is why I integrate creative methods such as art and play, walking therapy, and body-based (somatic) practices such as EFT to support emotional release and self-discovery.

Inner child work is central to my practice, helping individuals reconnect with parts of themselves that were silenced or neglected, and creating space for healing through compassion and attuned presence. I strive to build safe, empathetic relationships where people feel seen and accepted just as they are, and where different forms of communication are honoured as valid and healing. I especially recognise this as a need for both the neurodiverse community and people who have experienced trauma.

Communication and feeling safe in both body and mind are essential for relationships whether that be with ourselves, children or partners and I strive to help facilitate better relationships through my healing methods above.

.....and time to relax!

What have you got planned for half-term and the bank holiday weekend?

For the first time in years, i have decided to have a beach/pool holiday around my gorgeous friends wedding.

As I now live in the beautiful countryside of the Cotswolds, I think the previous me has seeked city breaks for more stimulation. However, this weekend has made me realise how important it is for me to be near water. I love swimming and being in the water and it is the place that brings me back to a state of peace, instantly.

I have been writing in my journal and reading my book while digesting the last few weeks.

The added bonus of being in these hills has just been an extra bonus as I am surrounded by lemon and orange trees too. It is like a warm hug embracing you.

My gift to you this week is... how do you find peace this week, without guilt?

Sending you all so much love ❤️

Current space available for EFT tapping therapy online

In my approach, somatic therapy (body-based) is about helping you reconnect with your body as a vital source of information and healing. Emotions don’t just live in the mind, they’re often experienced physically as tension, restlessness, or disconnection. By tuning into these bodily sensations, we can gently uncover and release emotional stress that might otherwise stay trapped.

Alongside traditional talking therapy, I use a range of body-based techniques tailored to what feels right for you. This may include grounding exercises to help you feel more present, breathwork to calm your nervous system, movement to release held tension, and EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) tapping to ease emotional blocks – of which I am an advanced practitioner. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore both your physical and emotional experience, building resilience and a deeper sense of balance from the inside out. These online sessions allow for hands-on guidance and real-time connection.

I currently have fortnightly slots available online at 12pm or 3pm (UK time) on a Thursday, please get in touch to book or find out more. Link in bio.

Currently one spot available for Art & Play Therapy - Tuesday 12pm

Children’s art and play therapy is a gentle, child-centred approach that uses creativity to help children express and make sense of their emotions. For many children under 12, it’s much easier to communicate through play and artistic expression than through words alone. This therapy creates a safe, non-judgemental space where feelings can be explored at the child’s own pace.

Through these creative channels, children can process experiences, build resilience, and strengthen their sense of self in a way that feels natural and empowering.
