🙌 Next simple landing progression, the single leg drop jump.
✅ You can see the overall improvement in strength, control, range, force absorption etc from previous videos.
👎 Then challenge the single leg ability and you see less landing stability, compensations at the pelvis and the other leg doing funky things!
👍 Yes, there is a learned component to this. But that’s the whole point right?! The whole neuromuscular/ proprioceptive mechanism needs retraining & improving post injury, let alone an ACL reconstruction.
➡️ Why should you start hopping, bounding etc if you can’t repeatedly NAIL this landing?
🤷♂️ In my opinion, you shouldn’t. I like to ensure the component parts are bang on - then you’re not being set up to fail!
