The Gift of Darkness – Everything Begins in the Dark
As we celebrate the Summer Solstice on the 21st June and the longest day of the year, I find myself reflecting not only on the light, but on the darkness that made it possible.

Nature reminds us that creation begins in unseen or dark places.
• A seed germinates beneath the soil
• A baby grows in the darkness of the womb
• A thought or idea in the mind
• Roots stretch deep before new growth appears above the ground
• A Butterfly develops in the chrysalis
• Stars can only be seen in the dark night sky
• Even a dream begins quietly, long before it becomes reality

We live in a world that often celebrates what is visible—the achievement, the breakthrough, the arrival. Yet so much of life's magic happens in the dark.
• In the waiting
• In the wondering
• In the becoming

The Solstice is often seen as the triumph of light, but perhaps its deeper wisdom is that light and darkness are partners in creation. One reveals what the other has been nurturing. So today, I am grateful for both. For the light that helps me see. And for the darkness that helps me grow.

Mystic Meadow – Sanctuary – 26

This card reminds you to replenish your energy, as well as your other needs for self-care. Protect yourself from less-than-positive influences in your life, and where necessary take shelter.

Retreat to a safe space, whether that is home or somewhere where you feel at home. Mend anything that is broken, or throw it away, organise your possessions and heal relationships.

A new found energy will come shortly, just take your time for now to create this space to nourish yourself, so that you are not overwhelmed when it does come and you don’t miss any opportunities that come later. Healing energy is growing and beautiful things are to come.

Tarot Tuesday…
Starry Night – Acceptance – 41

You are unique and remarkable; believe that you are worthy of all the good that you deserve, want, wish or desire. Embrace all parts of yourself and accept your majesty.

There are times when it may be challenging to fully accept yourself just as you are. Yet when you do not honour all parts of yourself you are denying yourself a full experience of life. There are no wrong experiences; each one allows you to grow spiritually as a soul.

Some people say that they can never accept the dark deeds that have been done on the planet. There is no need to do so; some things are just wrong.

However, in order to bring more light into the world, you must first accept yourself in all your ways, good or bad. What you deny in yourself runs your life. The more you accept yourself, the more fulfilment and life-force energy you will have.

The message with this card is, embrace yourself exactly as you are, because every moment has profound value, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. Forgive yourself and others; by accepting all that life provides, harmony will ensue.

If the number 41 shows itself to you, you have a second chance, and you are at the dawn of a breakthrough. It is about the turning of a page, after a long period of hardship, testing or waiting, embracing you in the moment.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along to the LifeArts MBS Fair at the Chelmsford City Racecourse. I was only there on Saturday, but my message is still the same for both days.

I am so grateful to each and every one of you who came to me for a reading. Thank you for your support, your warmth, and your openness, to the information and the messages from Spirit.

Thank you to Chris and Chris of LifeArts as well as to everyone who are part of their team of helpers, and who make it all possible. It always runs so smoothly, that it is easy to forget how much work and effort goes into an event like this.

It was lovely to connect with other stall holders too, all of whom I spoke to were friendly and inviting.

And of course, thank you to the Spirit World for drawing close and bringing love, comfort, and evidence from our loved ones in spirit. Their presence is always so humbling and special.

I truly appreciate everyone who shared the weekend, or Saturday at least with me.

There is something truly magical about the birth of a butterfly.

What begins as a tiny caterpillar enters a season of stillness and transformation, hidden from view, only to emerge as something entirely new.

The butterfly reminds us that growth often happens in the unseen places. The challenges, waiting periods, and moments of surrender are not the end of the story—they are part of the becoming.

Spiritually, butterflies symbolize rebirth, hope, renewal, and the soul's journey of transformation. They teach us that change can be beautiful, and that new life often emerges after seasons of uncertainty.

Today, as I witness the wonder of new butterflies taking flight, I'm reminded that we too are continually being transformed. By trusting the process, and embracing the change, new beginnings are often closer than we think.

May we all have the courage to spread our wings when the time comes.

Dr Usui was a Japanese philosopher who rediscovered how to use Universal Energy to heal not only himself but others too.

Tarot Tuesday…
Wood Nymph – Beauty – 52

The wood nymph calls you to look within and honour the beauty you hold inside, as well as the beauty that is all around you. What you see without, reflects what you see within, so the more positive and kindly you look upon yourself, the more positive and kinder your experiences will be, and vice versa.

Create harmony and peace within your home, even if it is in a small way; a bunch of flowers, a scented candle bath, or your favourite meal, can make all the difference. Relax and surround yourself with comfort and elegance.

The more you notice beauty in your environment, in yourself, and in others, the more it will fill your life. Tell yourself you are gorgeous and loveable; you are worth cherishing and you will glow with the love you give yourself.

If the wood nymphs and all they stand for resonate with you, recognise your inner light is shining and growing. Follow the wood nymphs’ example and relax, spend time in nature, sing and dance with joy.

If the number 52 frequently appears in your life, it is to be seen as a call to let go of old limitations. It encourages you to step into a new chapter of your life knowing that you are supported and aligned with your true purpose. How beautiful is that!
