Just gonna leave this here...

Full review here: I’m quite reluctant to write this review just because I don’t want Stu to get too popular and me missing out on his pop-in appointments, but, I suppose I mustn’t keep him to myself 🤧

Here’s the honesty, then; Mr Williams is not only a fantastic tattoo artist but an incredible person. His work is unmatched and his method so delicate the thing that hurts the most is when he wipes the area (!).

The music in the shop has brought me endless joy — just as much as the conversations we’ve had.

I’ve had my biggest piece done by Stu. He designed it. He listened to my suggestions. And the ex*****on? Oh. My. I love my Baba Yaga house and I am proud to have a Stuart Williams original forever on my skin.

Here’s to many more!

Hello inkspots. Here's a video I made (and forgot to post!) last week of pre-tattoo...stencil on, client relaxed and happy. Needless to say I didn't take any post-tattoo photos, but! Kev will be back and I shall endeavour to take photographic evidence of his Pink Floyd tattoo...

I do of course let my clients decide on what to listen to while being tattooed, as long as it is music I want to listen to.

And yes, I have new glasses.

Well, nearly 20 years of tattooing...and still going strong...

Ive tattooed some brilliant people, worked on some ridiculous ideas, fixed a few questionable decisions for people and learned a lot.

The equipment has changed.
The styles have developed.
Instagram happened!

But the important bit hasn't changed.
I still love tattooing you.

There's nothing quite like taking an idea from a conversation, committing it to a design and having it become part of your story.

So, if you've been thinking about getting tattooed but keep saying:

"Maybe one day...?"
Maybe today's the day you stop just thinking about it.
What tattoo have you been putting off?

*This is the start of a cover-up chest tattoo

The brief was "I want a full back piece featuring the grim reaper". The top cross was already there, done by a different tattooist, but I was given pretty much free rein on this one. Completed over 3 sittings. And he's back again soon to be turned over so I can start on his chest.

When are you getting yours booked in?

Whilst it is lovely to see you all throughout the summer months, (well actually its lovely to see you all at any time) autumn really is the very best time to get a new tattoo...

Hiya inkspots... so over the years I've done loads of cover up tattoos, people ask for them for all sorts of reasons; sometimes it's because they no longer like what they originally had (people change I guess), sometimes it's not the design it's just that it was poorly done and they want rid, sometimes it is the design or the placement and sometimes it's an association they want to remove.

Well I will always do my best for you, I can cover up, disguise and rework old pieces... but not everything and not in all instances will leave you with a pleasing outcome.

I'll be honest with you, I won't just tattoo you for the sake of it and sometimes that can be disappointing and in some cases upsetting.

We have to live with the consequences of our actions in tattoos as in life... or... I can direct you to find some lovely big shiny laser to obliterate those "camel toes", "cut heres", "Magaluf'94s" and any amount of Daves, Sams and Julies who as it turned out weren't 4eva so much as t***s!

We all make mistakes and they make great stories and I love you all whether or not you choose to live with the inky reminders.

Treasure! I found treasure! Ok not quite, I knew they were there but as it does so when you put things in a drawer you sort of forget they exist. Welcome back my old friends...

Hiya ink spots
Its school summer holidays so I find myself at home a bit more this week, and as I'm not tattooing my mind has gone on a bit of a wander..."where has it been?" I hear you say. Well it went of on a tangent thats where.

Who or what was it that influenced (or more accurately inspired) me to do thus thing that I do for a job?
Let's face it , it's a pretty odd and unusual thing to do.
and to be clear this is all retrospective, I don't recall a point where I ever said "i want to be a tattooist" it just sort of happened.
A few names sprang to mind, most make some sense and in no particular order all played their part to one degree or another,
Rusty Skuse...some of you will know the name, my dad was stationed in Aldershot in the early 70s and I recall either seeing her or an article about her and being amazed and somewhat awestruck at someone with so many tattoos it was much later that I learned of her links to and place in British tattooing history.
Fat Bob! A character by any measure, He did some of my very first tattoos, and I thought he was just the coolest , when I met him he lived on and worked from a barge moored next to a pub at Pin Mill in Suffolk, see ...cool

I appreciate it can ramble on, and if you'd like a bit more, let me know and i shall continue.
