We were proud to be a part of Bridget Phillipson MP’s recent visit to Sunderland on Friday, where she saw first-hand how local services are improving access to care for our communities.

The visit showcased the Sunderland Women’s Health Hub, and discussions included the Acute Frailty Service and Sunderland’s role in the national Neighbourhood Health programme, all helping to provide more joined-up care for patients closer to home.

It was a great opportunity to highlight the strength of partnership working across Sunderland and the positive difference this is making for patients.

Some people need a bit of extra support when they visit their GP. This is called a reasonable adjustment.

This could be:

✅ Easy-read information
✅ A quiet place to wait

Our GP practices can now record this so staff understand what you need.
