We’ve been carrying out a little sprucing of our garden again today. Built a new climbing frame (thank you Peter 🙌🏻🫶🏻) and we have a gorgeous new snuggle pod for our swing frame for those days when your little one wants to be outdoors but wants to hide too.

This week, we're celebrating the incredible people who make so much of what we do possible,our amazing volunteers! 💛

From welcoming families through our doors, helping in our sensory rooms, supporting sessions, organising resources, and working tirelessly behind the scenes, every volunteer plays an important role in making The Special Lioness what it is.

Our charity simply couldn't do what it does without the dedication, kindness and commitment of our volunteer team. They give their time, skills and energy to help create a welcoming, inclusive and magical environment for the families we support.

This post highlights just some of the volunteers who help at our office, but we also have a wonderful team of volunteers who support us at events throughout the year, helping us bring the magic to everything we do. ✨

It's going to be an incredible session full of music, singing, signing, and fun for the whole family.

We have received the following offer for any family in need of a profiling bed.

Hello, our 16 year old disabled daughter Molly passed away on the 17th February this year. We have got her electric operated, fully adjustable bed that we would like to donate. It also has sides and bumpers. The bed is in far too good a quality and working condition to simply dispose of. It has also been serviced annually and works 100% as it should do. We would take immense pleasure if we could pass it onto an individual, a family or charity who would benefit from it. We have already had offers from van owners who would help remove and deliver the bed to it's new home for free. Please message if interested and we will put you in touch with the family.

🌿 Little Explorers is on tomorrow! 🌿

We have two sessions available:
🕙 10:00am – 11:30am
🕧 12:30pm – 2:00pm

Why not come along and let your child explore, play, and discover? They can roar their way through our Rainforest Room, immerse themselves in the wonders of our Space Room, or get creative and musical in our Music Room. Whatever they enjoy, there's something for everyone!

Our Little Explorers sessions are designed to be welcoming, inclusive, and fun. No diagnosis is needed to attend just come along and enjoy a relaxed play experience.
