WOW. What an absolutely incredible day RISE was. 🤎
I’m still feeling genuinely emotional and a little overwhelmed by it all.
To every single person who came through those doors yesterday — thank you.
Yes, you supported Elysian.
Yes, you supported this event.
But more importantly… you chose to support yourself.
You gave yourself a few hours to learn, breathe, move, reflect, laugh, cry, connect and simply be.
And honestly, it was an absolute honour to create that space for you.
We packed SO much into one day.
🌸 We began with an incredible menopause talk from a brilliant healthcare professional of Gym/Med who not only shared her professional knowledge, but her own personal experience too.
We talked about myths, truths, symptoms, advocating for yourself, what to ask your GP and why women deserve to feel heard when something doesn’t feel right.
🧘🏼♀️ Then came Yoga with Kiran — a chance to move, breathe and settle into the room together.
💛 I then stepped in to deliver our endometriosis talk on behalf of the wonderful Evie from Her Circle, who sadly couldn’t be with us for a very difficult reason that I spoke briefly about on the day.
Evie, we are incredibly proud of you and of everything you’re doing to create awareness and support around endometriosis. Thank you for trusting me to share some of that message in your absence.
🌬️ We explored breathwork with Flow Yoga too — from relaxation techniques to cooling breathwork, which can be particularly useful during menopause, hot flushes, stressful moments or simply when life feels a little too much.
Then came Foster Fit .
Pilates, nutrition… and one of the most emotional parts of the entire day.
People cried.
People shared.
People opened up.
And conversations happened that I don’t think any of us expected.
Nutrition clearly struck a chord, so we’re seriously considering creating a future session or event centred entirely around women’s nutrition, hormones, wellbeing and our relationship with food.
If that is something you’d attend, please tell us below. 👇🏼
Then… Joti from Spirit Hypnotherapy.✨
I have already had people tell me it was one of the most incredible experiences they’ve ever had.
Group hypnosis in a room full of women who had spent hours connecting, sharing and supporting one another created something incredibly special.
And that wasn’t only Joti.
Every single person in that room contributed to the energy that made that experience what it was.
Thank you for allowing yourself to switch off, escape and trust the process — and thank you Joti for creating such a beautiful space for everyone.
And of course… there were CUPCAKES. 🧁
Lovingly made by the wonderful Kat — second person waving in the video, for anyone playing along. 😂
The first beautiful face waving is Jenny, who provided reflexology throughout the event and helped raise money for Elysian Community Projects CIC.
People who experienced Jenny’s reflexology at both Family Fest 2026 and RISE have been telling us how deeply relaxed and recharged they felt afterwards.
Jenny — we absolutely adore you. Thank you. 🤎
Third person waving… my mum. 😂🤎
She helped set up, hoover, organise things and then finally got to sit down and actually enjoy the event too. Thank you Mum for always showing up and adding your own beautiful energy to everything we do.
And then there’s Julie.
My best friend.
My support.
And genuinely one of my rocks throughout Elysian and Elysian Community Projects CIC.
She helped with everything behind the scenes, including parking — alongside Kat, Jas and our other willing parking victims. 😂 If I’ve forgotten someone, forgive me, because yesterday is still a bit of a blur!
And finally, a HUGE thank you to Cindy Gallop and Samantha Niblett MP.
Samantha continues to push important conversations forward and help bring s*x positivity and the Summer of S*x into the UK conversation.
And Cindy… taking time out of an incredibly busy schedule to record something specifically for our event was just phenomenal.
Her message of empowerment and s*x positivity formed such an important part of RISE, and I’ll be sharing snippets from her video over the coming days, as well as making sure those who attended — and those who desperately wanted to but couldn’t — get the chance to hear more.
I feel incredibly lucky to be building something like this here in South Derbyshire.
To everyone who attended.
Everyone who contributed.
Everyone who facilitated.
Everyone who donated.
Everyone who shared something vulnerable.
Everyone who simply sat quietly and took it all in…
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Here’s a little look back at yesterday.
I hope when you watch it, you remember how you felt in that room.
Because that was RISE. 🤎
Break stigma. Empower women. Create connection.
And I have a feeling we’re only just getting started… ✨
