Did you know there may be funding available to help if you're struggling at work?

A lot of people tell me they’d love support but worry that they can’t afford coaching or wellbeing support.

What many people don’t realise is that there’s a government scheme called Access to Work, which may be able to help provide support if you're finding it difficult to stay in work or cope with work because of things that are impacting you.

This isn't just for physical disabilities. It can sometimes include support for things like:

✨ Neurodivergent traits
✨ Anxiety or mental health difficulties
✨ Difficulties with organisation, focus or communication

You may still be eligible without a formal diagnosis, and you can apply whether you’re employed or self-employed.

I offer coaching to support people with neurodivergent-related challenges, which often includes helping them with burnout, emotional regulation, anxiety and confidence, all of which may be suitable as part of an Access to Work package for some individuals.

If work feels like it’s becoming harder than it should be, it may be worth exploring what support is available.

Sometimes the problem isn't that you're failing, sometimes you just haven't been given the right support.

Feel free to drop me a message if you'd like to know more ❤️

The first time I heard this, I thought, “Sh*t!” 😅

It’s just so easy to plod along. There are always so many things to juggle - work, children, family, the dog - it's easy to just plod along day to day, taking each other for granted.

It’s easy to presume your partner will always be there until they’re not.

Relationships are like plants - they’re either growing or dying. They never really stay still. Plants need watering, care and attention or they slowly wither. Relationships are no different.

Relationships that are growing might look like:
❤️ Regular date nights
❤️ Intimate time together (without the children around)
❤️ Saying thank you for the little things
❤️ Small gestures that say 'I thought of you'
❤️ Checking in with each other properly
❤️ Laughing together
❤️ Feeling like a team

Relationships that are struggling or slowly drifting apart might look like:
💔 Feeling more like housemates than partners
💔 Sitting in different rooms most evenings
💔 Sitting on opposite ends of the sofa scrolling on phones rather than connecting
💔 Lack of intimacy or affection
💔 Conversations becoming purely practical
💔 Irritation over little things
💔 Feeling unheard or unseen
💔 Spending less quality time together

No relationship is perfect and every couple goes through difficult patches, but sometimes the strongest thing you can do is notice what’s happening before resentment, distance and disconnection build up.

We’re now offering Couples Counselling - 90-minute sessions are £130.

I also offer Relationship Coaching for couples, individuals or families wanting to improve communication, reconnect and create healthier, happier relationships ❤️

I’m probably not the only one, but these days I use ChatGPT for EVERYTHING 😆

Meal plans. Business ideas. Parenting teenage boys. Today…Yorkshire pudding recipes 😋

As someone who is neurodivergent, it’s genuinely been a game changer.

🙂 It helps me untangle the chaos in my head
🙂 Helps me get started when I’m stuck
🙂 Turns my brain-dump into something that actually makes sense
🙂 Gives me more headspace for my clients and family

So this isn’t an anti-AI post. I love it (and yes, I even used it to help tighten up this post 👀).

But lately I’ve found myself wondering...

🤔 Are people starting to use AI instead of therapy or coaching?

Because I completely understand why.

No waiting lists. No awkwardness.
No fear of judgement. Available at 2am when your mind won’t switch off.

And it can be incredibly useful for organising thoughts, reflecting, and understanding yourself better.

But I don’t think it should replace therapy or coaching.

Because so much of the change doesn’t come from information.

It comes from the relationship.

💗 Being truly seen
💗 Having someone notice patterns you can’t
💗 Being gently challenged
💗 Having space held while you process difficult things

AI might help you understand yourself.

Human connection helps you heal and grow.

Maybe the future isn’t AI or human support.

Maybe it’s both.

What do you think? 🤔

For those of you old enough to remember the start of the internet…you might remember Ask Jeeves 👀😂

I’m not entirely sure what he was supposed to be…some sort of little butler/servant man who you could ask random questions to before Google was a thing!

Well…over the last few years, on and off, I’ve done something called Ask Reeves…and it’s making a comeback! 💛

Once a month on my radio show, join me and my beautiful friend Hazel Morgan as she asks me your questions about:
* mental health
* wellbeing
* relationships
* neurodivergence
* anxiety
* overthinking
* burnout
* and all of the things that make us wonderfully messy, magical humans.

You can send your questions in anonymously via email ([email protected]) or DM and we’ll answer them on the show.

So tune in today at 1pm to hear this month’s questions and conversation or listen on catch up 🎧💛

This week has reminded me just how much of my work now centres around helping people understand, accept and work with their brains instead of constantly fighting against them 🧠

Monday started with emotional support sessions for neurodivergent primary school children, helping them understand emotions, particularly anger - where we feel it in the body, what makes it grow and what helps it shrink.

Tuesday was Clarity Calls with new clients and it struck me again just how many people are struggling with anxiety, overthinking, burnout and emotional overwhelm without realising how much of it is connected to spending years trying to fit into systems that were never designed for their brains.

I also recorded my radio show with my lovely friend Hazel Morgan from , where we launched our new monthly Ask Reeves segment - a space where people can anonymously send in questions around mental health, wellbeing and the magical messiness of being human.

Wednesday was a full client day, with most clients navigating neurodivergent-related challenges. I ended the day with a client I’ve worked with for the last year who has come such a long way in learning to manage emotions, trust themselves more and build a life that works for them.

Thursday was a breakthrough day - one of my favourite ways to work with clients! Watching people move from shame and self-judgement towards self-trust and self-acceptance in such a short space of time never gets old.

And yesterday I was grateful to spend time with my beautiful mum at .

This week has been perfect for my auDHD brain - plenty of exciting experiences, as well as structure, and lots of self-care! 🥰

Even going to a spa can be overstimulating though, so this weekend I’m slowing down, spending time in the garden and doing the things that help me feel calm again.

Ready for another exciting week next week! 🩷🙌😊🙏🥰

What do you need to reset this weekend? 🤔🩷

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week and I think sometimes we forget something really important…

We ALL have mental health. Just like we all have physical health.

Most of us know that if we want our bodies to feel healthier and stronger, we need to exercise, sleep, eat well and look after them consistently.

But we don’t always treat our minds the same way.

Your mental health is impacted by:
• your mental diet (what you feed your brain)
• the people you surround yourself with
• the conversations you have with yourself
• the stress you hold onto
• the pressure you put yourself under
• the amount of rest you allow yourself

Mental health isn’t just about fixing things when they go wrong.

It’s about training your mind, protecting your energy and creating habits that support you emotionally.

You wouldn’t expect to go to the gym once and come out with a six pack.

And the same applies to your mind.

Small daily habits matter more than people realise.

So this Mental Health Awareness Week, maybe ask yourself:
What am I feeding my mind lately?
What do I need more of?
What do I need less of?
And am I treating myself with the same care I give to everyone else?

How would you rate your mental health on a scale of 1 to 10?

Remember who you are and that you matter, you beautiful human 💛

I used to be really embarrassed about how much I love Disney. It felt childish, especially running a business and trying to be taken seriously.

But when I really think about it, it was never just about Disney.

It takes me straight back to Sunday afternoons with my dad watching Beauty and the Beast and The Sword in the Stone.

And then there was Ariel. The first time I saw someone with ginger hair who was beautiful, adventurous, who could sing and a princess! I felt connected to her and wanted to be her!

Over time I’ve realised this isn’t something to hide, it actually connects me back to who I am.

So many of us spend our time working, looking after everyone else and doing what needs to be done, but we lose connection with ourselves. Everything becomes about responsibility and productivity, and there’s very little space left for joy just for the sake of it. On a long enough time line, this is likely to be followed by stress, overwhelm and burnout.

You know you haven't stopped being that little boy or girl, don't you! You are still them, you're just in a slightly bigger body!

Behind me is something is my pride and joy! An original piece by artist Mr. Oreke, and if my house was on fire (after my children, husband and dog!) this would be the only thing I’d grab. Not because it’s important in an materialistic way, but because it makes me happy and it's a little part of me.

So this is your reminder to reconnect with the things you’ve always loved this weekend, even if they feel a bit silly. Make time for something that’s just for you.

And if anyone judges you for it, that says far more about them than it does about you 🤍

I’ve got two recent shows up that I loved recording, both very different but full of real, honest conversation.

The first is with one of my best friends, Hazel Morgan, called The Magic of Libraries and Other Ramblings (which sums the vibe up nicely 😅).

We chat about everything from keeping up with people and worrying what others think, to feeling overwhelmed, running a business and the comparison trap. We also touch on religion, manifestation, community, how amazing libraries are and how therapeutic singing can be 🎵

Hazel is also one of the owners of The Hangry Burger in Burton. If you haven’t been, you need to!

The second show is with Harrison Chambers, who I’ve known for a number of years.

He is autistic and seeing his journey and confidence grow has been incredible. Using his own experiences and design talents, he now supports businesses to create more accessible websites and materials, which is such important work.

He also has a podcast on Lichfield Radio called Breaking Barriers and Bossin’ It. I had the privilege of being his first guest!

Yesterday was one of those moments where I had to stop and think…how on earth did I end up here? 🤔😂

Because honestly, if you’d told me a few years ago that I’d be stepping into the role of Vice President of the Burton & District Chamber of Commerce, I wouldn’t have believed you!

But yesterday, that became real and I’m so grateful.

Thank you to Rob Page, Richard Brooks and the for this opportunity.

The truth is, running a business is hard.

Behind every business owner is usually someone carrying pressure, self-doubt, responsibility, long hours, and moments where they wonder if they’re doing any of it right. I know that because I’ve lived it too.

That’s why being part of the Chamber has meant so much to me this last year. It helped me feel less alone. It gave me support, encouragement, opportunities and connections that genuinely changed the direction of my life and business - including the radio opportunities I never imagined in a million years!

I think that’s become a huge part of how I live my life now: say yes to opportunities.
Even when they feel scary.
Even when you feel unqualified.
Even when you have no idea where they’ll lead.

Stepping into this role feels like an extension of the work I already do - supporting business owners, creating connection and helping others feel seen in what can sometimes feel like a lonely journey.

And the day somehow ended even better than it started. After spending time with an incredible new client doing meaningful work, I came home to flowers and a card from my beautiful husband!

Congratulations to Rob Page on becoming President. I’m so excited to support him alongside Russell Jeans and the rest of the committee over the next year.

Here’s to growth, connection, courage, and saying yes! 💜

I wasn’t always the person you see now.

I was the most anxious person I know. I was always waiting for something to go wrong, like bad things were always lurking round the corner. I know it sounds dramatic, but I honestly thought I was cursed.

I was insecure, jealous and I hated myself - my ginger hair, my height, my pale skin and how annoyingly anxious I was.

I started my career as a teacher and although I loved working with the children, the stress and pressure was at times too much. I constantly felt like I wasn’t on top of things, like I wasn’t good enough. I didn’t really have evenings or weekends. Teaching was my whole life.

And to cope with that, I ate and drank far too much.

When I look at my life now, it’s completely different. And I’ve done a lot of work to get here. I’m still a work in progress, but I’m not the same person anymore.

I wouldn’t describe myself as an anxious person now. I’m more resilient, more optimistic, more positive.

I’ve gone from feeling not good enough to actually feeling confident in who I am. I put myself out there and I’m able to be authentically me, unapologetically me, owning my quirks and my “Special Claire-isms”.

I’ve gone from not being able to speak in front of a couple of people without going red and stuttering…to now leading training, speaking and hosting my own radio show.

I’m happy in my own skin most of the time, and I have a strong, healthy relationships.

Instead of trying to fit into a life that didn’t work for me, I started following what felt right. I retrained as a counsellor, moved into coaching and kept adapting things so they fit me and how my brain worked.

Now I’ve created a life with flexibility and freedom. I can work around my family, I don’t feel like I’m constantly sacrificing what matters most and I get to do things like my radio show.

I’ve completely changed how I look after myself too. I haven’t drunk alcohol for nine years, I haven’t eaten meat for nine years and my mental and physical health are real priorities for me.

I live much more in line with my values. I know who I am, what I want and what I need, and I’m not afraid to keep adapting things so they work for me.

If you want to hear more about my journey, I shared it on this week’s ‘Happy Healthy Humans’ show on Burton Radio. You can catch it on burtonradio.co.uk, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other podcast platforms.

Now, I'm not telling you this to brag. Just to remind you that you are never as stuck as you think. You can make changes and create a life that works for you 🤍
