Client A and I had a lovely afternoon out finishing with a lemon cake and a latte at The Norton.

Me and client A spending the afternoon together indoors.
Jigsaw puzzles are excellent therapeutic tools for individuals with dementia. They help stimulate brain function, boost confidence, and provide a calming activity.

Had the absolute pleasure of supporting a young client on a cinema trip today. Getting back out into social spaces can feel overwhelming, on top of your health conditions.

With a person centred approach you don't need to stop doing what you enjoyed the most.

Client A and I spent few hours chatting with the gang and stuffing our face with a lovely meal at The Dunvant Pub

It's about keeping a close, loving eye on the details to make sure my clients stay safe!

​Just the other day with client A, a real emergency could have happened in a split second. She had put some food on the hob and completely forgot it was there. Left alone, it easily could have caught fire and caused a dangerous situation.

​Because I provide dedicated, regular, one-to-one care after dinner time, I caught it straight away, turned off the hob, and kept client A and her home perfectly safe.

​A simple slip of memory can happen to anyone, but having a consistent, familiar face there means these little moments don't turn into big accidents. Knowing client A’s routine inside out means I can protect her independence while giving her family total peace of mind.

I had my first call today with new client L and she kindly asked me to do some homework and look for activities in Swansea.

I found these so far, I've decided to share as might be useful for other people.
(I don't work in partnership with these organisations).
