So I’ve heard this line countless times and probably every single day I’ve worked from home,
“I think I’m having a midlife crisis”

millennials, we’ve navigated one crisis after another, and honestly? We’re tired of the chaos and the old expectations.

So I have to ask — is the classic “midlife crisis” completely changing for us these days? Instead of the usual stereotype: flashy convertibles, impulsive big purchases, or messy breakdowns, does it feel like ours looks totally different now? Are we more likely to find ourselves collecting chickens, trying to master the perfect loaf of sourdough bread, spending weekends tending to a garden, or just seeking simple, steady joys that actually feel good?

Is our version of “figuring it all out” less about showing off and more about finding peace, comfort, and something tangible to care for? I’d love to hear what you think — have you noticed this shift too?

What an absolutely lush 2 weeks off, I’ve had a great holiday — exactly what I needed! Hope you’ve all had a great time too 😊

✨ Ever woken up and thought why is my piercing so swollen this morning? 🤔

It’s totally normal & here’s exactly why it happens:

When you lie down at night, gravity isn’t pulling fluid down from your head/face like it does when you’re upright. Fluid naturally gathers there, so newer or sensitive piercings swell a little overnight.

Plus, sleeping on an unhealed piercing presses on the area, squishing tiny blood vessels & stopping fluid draining properly. That pressure irritates it, makes it red, puffy or a bit crusty—all just from resting on it while you sleep 😴

The good news? It usually goes down pretty fast once you’re up & moving! Cartilage piercings might take a tiny bit longer than lobes, but it’s all just part of the healing process 💛
