🚴MOVEMENT IS KEY FOR WEIGHTLOSS🚴

We often hear the term "eat less, move more" in conversations on weightloss.
While it's a handy catchphrase that is technically true, I think it's hard for many to truly conceptualise what this would look like for them.
We should really be saying - use up as many calories as you can day to day - move MORE 🔥🔥🔥
Calories are just made up units of measurement to express energy derived from food.
Once that energy is being used to a proper extent, the shape of the body will begin to change. Many simply fail to use them up!
MOVE MORE DOES NOT MEAN
🚴Pedal harder in spin class
🏃 Run faster on the treadmill
💧 Sweat more than last time
Though these are all great things to be doing, odds are the vast majority of it is taking place in a gym.
👉That's just 5% of your day 👈
How are you "moving" in the other 95%? 🤔
MOVE MORE DOES MEAN
🚶Walk to town instead of drive / bus
🚗 Park as far from the shop entrance as possible
👣 Walk the stairs instead of using the escalator
It might seem like tiny pointless things - but this is the stuff the fitness gurus are talking about when they go on about "lifestyle change".
It's these little bits
And more often than not, when clients tell me they've been trying to lose weight to no avail, it almost always turns out that not enough movement is happening outside of the gym
