✅ Watch this video to learn about all the treatments we can offer at the clinic for fungal nail infections. They are:

1. Do nothing
2. Regular routine podiatry treatments
3. Over the counter topical medications
4. Laser therapy
5. Oral anti-fungal medication
6. Total nail removal (permanent or allow the nail to regrow)

Often a combination of the above is required.

🦠 It is also essential to treat the skin on the feet alongside any nail treatments. Fungal nail infections start on the skin and then progress into the nails.
Some people may be unaware they have a fungal infection on the skin. You can treat this by:

- Using a topical anti-fungal cream such as Terbinafine, Lamisil Once or Daktarin
- Repeating this every few months to prevent reinfection
- Washing all socks and shoes (if possible) at 60 degrees
- Treating inside of footwear with anti-fungal powders
- Wearing flip flops in communal areas and in the shower
- Ensuring the feet are kept as dry as possible and drying thoroughly after showering

Tonight we headed down to Tamworth Football Club to provide some basic treatment for the players and introduce ourselves to the team and coaching staff.

It was great to chat about the services we can offer to help assess, treat, and manage any injuries that may arise throughout the season.
