As part of their ongoing support for the Lingen Davies Cancer Support Sunflower Appeal, the team and residents at Stirchley House Extra Care Service held a "Soak the Sunflower Man" fundraiser and it certainly made a splash! 😄🌻

Thanks to the generosity of everyone who took part, an additional £86 was raised for this fantastic cause. A special thank you goes to Norman, who volunteered to become the "Sunflower Man" for the day and took on the challenge with great enthusiasm! 💦

The funds raised will contribute towards the Sunflower Appeal, a £5million campaign by Lingen Davies Cancer Support to help create a new chemotherapy centre at Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, improving access to cancer treatment across the region.

Well done to everyone involved for another brilliant fundraising effort in support of such an important cause. 💛

💭🍃July is Talk To Us Month, Samaritan's annual campaign encouraging people to connect with those around them and highlighting the importance of conversation and listening. To get involved with this initiative, Cherry Orchard House Extra Care Service hosted a special ‘Listening Bench’ in the garden.

Complete with conversation cards and discussion prompts, the bench aimed to encourage anyone using the space to take a moment to sit together, get to know one another, and enjoy meaningful conversations.

Whether it's sharing memories, talking about hobbies, or simply catching up with friends, taking the time to talk can help people feel more connected and reduce feelings of loneliness 💙

Although Talk To Us Month is coming to an end, we hope the bench continues to encourage the people we support to spend time together, share stories, and enjoy meaningful conversations long into the future. 🌸

This year, we're celebrating 25 years of Radis! 🌟 Over the next few months, we have lots of celebrations planned, from charity fundraising events to tea parties. As part of our 25th anniversary celebrations, we're also proud to support the National Trust by helping to plant and protect 25 new trees. 🌳

Trees represent growth, resilience, and long-term success, which we reflect on as part of this milestone. Their roots symbolise a strong foundation, while their continued growth reflects our vision for the future. Long after this anniversary has passed, these trees will continue to grow and thrive, serving as a living reminder of this special milestone and the legacy we are creating together. 🌱

The National Trust says, "Trees are essential for life. They clean the air we breathe, lock up carbon as they grow and provide homes for wildlife." We're proud to support their tree planting mission while celebrating our 25th anniversary, supporting the communities around us, and leaving a positive mark for the future.

Here's to 25 years of making a difference💙
