Throughout his life, His Majesty has been a passionate supporter of integrated healthcare, recognising that looking after our well-being goes beyond just treating symptoms—it’s about supporting the whole person.

As Reflexologists, we know the profound impact this practice can have on stress relief, circulation, and overall balance. It is wonderful to see such a high-profile champion highlighting the value of complementary and holistic therapies!

Whether you are navigating a schedule as busy as a monarch's or simply looking to restore some inner harmony, a professional reflexology session offers the perfect opportunity to hit pause and ground yourself.

🌸If your joints click, creak and complain louder than you do, this one’s for you.

Osteoarthritis isn’t just “a bit of wear and tear” – it’s very real, and it can make everyday things (like climbing stairs or getting out of a chair gracefully) feel surprisingly hard.

Massage and aromatherapy can’t magically switch it off, but they can help take the edge off so the pain isn’t constantly shouting in your ear.

In treatments, I often use a mix of gentle massage with specific essential oils, for example:

Ginger – gently warming and comforting around stiff joints
Black pepper – warming and loosening when everything feels tight and sulky
Sweet marjoram – wonderfully soothing when pain has you tensing everything up
Juniper – traditionally used to help achy areas feel lighter and less bogged down

Used in a well‑diluted blend with massage, they don’t make osteoarthritis disappear – but they can help the pain feel softer and more in the background, instead of centre stage all day.

And I don’t just say this as a therapist. I say it as someone with Osteoarthritis in my back, neck, knees and hands who uses these blends on myself as well as my clients My pain, and those of my clients, doesn’t vanish, but it stops being the only thing I and my clients can think about, and it makes everyday tasks tackle tasks easier to tackle more easily. They also smell divine too. 🌸

If your joints are currently acting like grumpy teenagers and you’d like to see if massage and aromatherapy could calm them down a bit, you’re very welcome to message me or mention osteoarthritis when you book. We’ll keep it gentle, supportive and 100% tailored to you. You will also receive a small bottle of the oil used in your treatment to use at home everyday. 🌿

Whether is be for a phone call, text or treatment I’m here to listen - albeit you might need to talk about louder as I’m convinced I can’t hear things as well as I should - guess that’s another age related thing or maybe it’s selective hearing 😊

My generation had great role models, free university and the morning-after pill. We should be running the world. Instead, two-thirds of us are facing mental health problems – and it’s not all about the menopause

Aromatherapy myths, incoming. 🌿

If you’ve ever thought “essential oils are just fancy air freshener,” this one’s for you.
Aromatherapy isn’t about making the room smell nice and hoping for the best. It’s the skilled use of concentrated plant extracts to support relaxation, mood and general comfort — when they’re used properly.

Some common myths I hear all the time:

Myth: Essential oils are just nice smells.
Fact: How they’re used (dilution, method, timing) completely changes their effect.

Myth: “Natural” = totally safe.
Fact: Some oils are a hard no during pregnancy, with certain meds, for kids, asthma or sensitive skin. Natural still needs knowledge.

Myth: More drops = more benefits.
Fact: There’s a therapeutic range. Too much can cause headaches, skin irritation and actually make you feel worse.

Myth: I can just copy any blend I see online.
Fact: Professional blending takes you into account – your health, mood, sensitivities and what you actually need that day.

Myth: One magical oil fixes everything.
Fact: Different oils support different things. That’s why we blend, not just throw lavender at every problem.

If you’re curious what would genuinely suit you (and your nose), pop a question in the comments or mention Aromatherapy when you book and we’ll choose a blend tailored to you – trends optional. 🌿

Hate Lavender? You might still love an Aromatherapy massage.

A lot of people hear “Aromatherapy” and instantly picture a giant purple lavender cloud… then think: “Nope. Its not for me.” Fair enough – Lavender’s been crammed into candles, cleaners and “relaxing” sprays for years, so plenty of people are over it.

Here’s the twist:

Aromatherapy does not mean mandatory Lavender.

A proper Aromatherapy massage is about choosing essential oils that suit:

🌿 our body
🌿 your mood
🌿and your “absolutely not” list

You can have a full Aromatherapy massage with:

🌼 zero lavender
🌼 gentle, subtle blends
🌼 scents that don’t follow you home for three days

Not into lavender? Try instead:

Grounding woods – Cedarwood, sSandalwood (forest, but make it cosy)
Soft florals – Neroli (calm, not grandma’s perfume)
Relaxing citrus – Sweet orange, Bergamot (sunshine without the sugar rush)

Your nose is in charge here. When you book, just tell me:

🌸 scents you love
🌸 scents you can’t stand
🌸 I will do the blending

Your massage, your rules — no Lavender necessary. 🌿
