Every treatment at Restore Medical begins with a personalised care plan, because no two people, symptoms or recovery journeys are the same.
Whether you're coming to me for pelvic health, postnatal recovery, scar therapy or lymphatic drainage, we'll start by discussing your concerns, your goals and what you want to achieve. I'll carry out a thorough assessment and create a treatment plan that's tailored specifically to you, with realistic expectations and achievable milestones every step of the way.
During your consultation, I'll also advise whether I feel your first step should be to see your GP or whether it's appropriate to begin treatment with me straight away. If I believe you need further medical assessment, I'll always tell you.
If you choose to see your GP first, that's absolutely the right decision. However, it's important to know that many pelvic health conditions can involve long NHS waiting times, with referrals, investigations and treatment sometimes taking up to two years before definitive treatment is received.
Rather than spending months—or even years—living with symptoms, many people choose to begin conservative treatment while they're waiting, or they want to avoid surgery altogether. Early treatment can help improve symptoms, reduce discomfort and, often prevent problems from progressing.
