☀️ It's going to be another hot day☀️
As temperatures continue to rise, it’s important to look out for the signs of heat-related illnesses in yourself and others.
🚩 Know the symptoms
During hot weather, watch for:
• Feeling dizzy, weak, sick, or very thirsty – these can be signs of heat exhaustion
• Painful muscle spasms (heat cramps)
• High temperature, confusion, or rapid breathing – possible heat stroke
🚩What to do
• Move to a cool place
• Drink plenty of fluids
• Rest and try to cool your body down
• For muscle cramps, rest and drink cool fluids
🚩 When to get help
• If symptoms don’t improve or you feel unusual symptoms, seek medical advice
• Heat stroke is a medical emergency
– Signs include confusion, hot skin not sweating, or seizures
– Call 999 immediately, place the person in the recovery position, and keep cooling them down
✅ Check in on older people, young children, and those with long-term conditions – they are more at risk.
