🌟 Congratulations, Maya! 🌟

We’re delighted to announce that Maya is this month’s very deserving recipient of the coveted Rectory Recognition Award! 🏆

Maya is a seasonal member of our team, joining us whenever she comes home from university. Since April, she has worked tirelessly to support the home through staff changes and holidays, often going above and beyond by covering both day and night shifts.

We’ve seen such a huge amount of personal growth in Maya this year. She has become a highly dependable, knowledgeable and respected member of the team, and her commitment and hard work have made such a positive difference to the home.

Maya, this award is so well deserved! We will truly miss you while you’re away studying, but we can’t wait to welcome you back at Christmas. 🥰🎄

This fantastic achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and commitment of our whole team to providing the highest standards of food safety and care for our residents.

A very special thank you goes to our amazing cooks, Elaine and Colleen, whose passion, professionalism, and attention to detail made this possible. Your delicious meals and commitment to excellence are truly appreciated by everyone.

🌸 A lovely afternoon was spent in the garden today, with our residents busy deadheading flowers, watering the plants, and giving everything a tidy-up in preparation for our Summer Fete on Saturday 1st August.

The garden is looking beautiful, and everyone enjoyed spending time outdoors together.

We hope to see lots of you there for what promises to be a wonderful day! 🌼☀️

A huge congratulations to Charlie on receiving The Rectory Recognition Award! 🏆

Charlie has truly stepped outside of her comfort zone, supporting our team by providing activities and meaningful engagement for our residents while we have been recruiting. Her kindness, enthusiasm and dedication have made such a positive difference.

Charlie has received nothing but wonderful praise and admiration from our residents, their families and our colleagues – a true testament to the care and compassion she brings every day.

Thank you, Charlie, for stepping up and supporting us during our time of need. We are so grateful for everything you’ve done and couldn’t be prouder. 💕👏

🍦 Just two friends enjoying an ice cream together in the sunshine. 💛

Friendship has no age limit, and it’s never too late for new connections to blossom—even while living with dementia.

Sue and Sue became friends from the moment they met, and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Wherever you find one, you’ll usually find the other, sharing laughs, caring for others, and often getting up to a little harmless mischief!

Moments like these remind us that companionship, kindness, and friendship can brighten every stage of life. 🌸

As if we ever needed an excuse to enjoy chocolate… yesterday was no exception as we celebrated World Chocolate Day! 🍫✨

Our residents and staff had a wonderful time gathering around the chocolate fountain, dipping a delicious selection of sweet treats and enjoying every bite.

With the warm weather we’ve been having, we’re not entirely sure the fountain itself was necessary… but it certainly made the day even sweeter! 😂💕

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a new singer to our home - the wonderful Daisy Downham Singer 🎤

Daisy brought so much energy and joy, with residents and staff up on their feet dancing the afternoon away. Time flew by as everyone enjoyed themselves – an hour felt like minutes, but the smiles lasted all day long.

We’re already looking forward to welcoming Daisy back again soon 🫶
