Petition to ban the use of piercing guns …
Why are piercing guns so frowned upon? 🫣
Piercing guns cannot be sterilised, blood borne pathogens will live on metal guns and will spread to your child’s little immune system making them severely sick. Plastic ones cannot be autoclaved -> (an autoclave is the only medical grade way to fully sterilise instruments. It uses pressurised saturated steam to kill all bacteria, viruses, fungal spores and blood borne pathogens)
Guns cause blunt forced trauma to the tissue/cartilage they crush and tear the instead of smoothly gliding through like a needle. This is why the guns cause more pain, takes longer to heal and has higher risks of scarring, rejection, migration and infection.
Gun studs are one size fits all, too short for swelling, often made from uncertified “mystery metal” or plated brass, and use butterfly backs that trap dirt or a fake “flat back”. That’s why we only safely use implant grade ASTM F‑136 titanium fitted to the client’s anatomy as guns cannot do this. The gun is at a fixed angle and pressure which means you cannot adjust for shape, depth or angle far higher chance of crooked or unsuitable piercings.
We believe piercing guns are incredibly dangerous and should be prohibited to prevent the ongoing danger to the public. We believe piercing guns are a severe infection hazard as they can’t be fully sterilised, increasing the risk of cross contamination and the spread of life-threatening diseases.
