Feeling so grateful for the dream team I’m lucky enough to work alongside. 💙

First, there’s Casey Lyon, founder of Out Relief — an incredible website that’s completely free for anyone to use and forms the foundation of so much of our training. Casey is one of the most generous people you’ll ever meet, always there in the background supporting, encouraging, and sharing an amazing depth of knowledge.

Then there’s Zoe Gardner from Realign in Worcestershire. As a nurse, Zoe brings invaluable medical expertise to everything we do. She’s absolutely fantastic with debriefing and has such a calm, professional approach that makes a real difference.

And now we’ve got Jan Squire, an international golf caddie and our IT superstar! Jan brings so much positivity, energy, and technical know-how to the team. She’s an absolute joy to have involved in any training situation.

Together, the four of us make a pretty special team. Different skills, different backgrounds, but a shared passion for helping others learn, grow, and succeed.

I genuinely love working with these incredible women. What a team! 🙌

One of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is the value of truly listening to your clients.

My clients are so much more than people I work with. They become part of my extended family. I care about their lives, their challenges, their successes, and the journeys they are on. We support each other, and that connection is incredibly special.

Whether someone is adapting to a new way of eating, managing an injury, dealing with life’s ups and downs, or exploring different forms of exercise alongside my classes, being there for them is what matters most. It’s never just about posture or movement—it’s about the whole person.

This morning I was working with one of my lovely clients in New Zealand. A slightly earlier start for me at 7:20am and an evening session for her at 6:20pm, but it worked perfectly. One of the wonderful things about working online is that distance no longer matters. No matter where my clients are in the world, I can still support them on their journey.

I feel incredibly grateful for the trust my clients place in me and for the friendships that grow along the way. Listening, caring, and supporting people through life’s challenges will always be at the heart of what I do.

Today was all about keeping people moving and doing what they love.

One of my clients is one of our leading sheep shearers. He needs a second hip operation, but right now he’s still competing, so we’re working around that. The goal is to keep him on the straight and narrow until things calm down enough for surgery. A few carefully chosen exercises, keeping him in alignment, managing the pain, and helping him stay as active as possible.

Another client is also a keen competitor. As we get into our later years – whether that’s 55, 60, 70 and beyond – our bodies need a little more support. Her back had become very arched, and after surgery we’re now in the rehabilitation phase. Slow and steady is the key. We’re stabilising, strengthening, and allowing the body time to recover. It won’t happen overnight, but it will get better.

One thing I always remind my clients is that movement matters. Yes, walking up a hill might make you puff a bit more these days, but keep going. Every step counts.

Remember, you’re never on your own. My clients know they can reach out to me any time after 6 o’clock in the morning. I might not be much use after 8 o’clock at night, but during the day I’m always happy to help.

Take care and keep moving.

Just a quick Instagram catch-up from me today.

I’ve finally decided to bite the bullet and buy myself a new Apple laptop! My current one has definitely gone into slow-motion mode, and it’s becoming a bit of a challenge. Once I’ve got the new one set up and running, I’ll take the old one into Apple and see if they can replace the battery. It would be nice to keep it as my backup for emergencies.

I’m teaching classes today, which is lovely, and it’s also date day, so I’m looking forward to that too.

One thing I’ve been reflecting on is how important it is to listen to our bodies. I taught all weekend, and normally I have Saturday afternoon and Sunday to recharge. This weekend was full-on, and by Monday I was absolutely shattered. It actually took me until Tuesday to recover, and only now do I feel completely back to myself.

I think as we get older, we have to be honest with ourselves. We can’t always stay on the treadmill at the pace we used to. My hamster wheel had to slow down a little this week, and that’s okay. Sometimes rest is just as important as action.

Anyway, that’s my little update for today.

Don’t forget to share this with anyone who might need the reminder to slow down and listen to themselves.

Speak to you soon.

Love you lots. ❤️

Oh my goodness, what a training weekend we’ve had!

It’s only this morning that I’ve finally been able to catch my breath. Yesterday I was exhausted, but today I’m feeling back to my mojo again.

The weekend was packed with learning, teaching, questions, discoveries and plenty of laughter. What it reinforced for me is just how powerful group learning can be. One-to-one sessions are fantastic, but when you bring people together in a room, something special happens. Everyone asks different questions, everyone sees things from a different perspective, and we all learn from each other.

We’re now looking at opening up some two-day training events specifically for clients who simply want to understand more about themselves, their posture, their movement and how this whole process works. Knowledge is empowering, and people love understanding why they’re improving, not just that they are.

I also have to give a huge shout-out to our incredible team.

Jan is our newest recruit to the training team. Her IT expertise, positivity and enthusiasm are absolutely infectious and have brought so much energy to the group.

Zoe is simply a star. Her passion, knowledge and support make such a difference to everyone she works with.

And then there’s Casey, joining us from the USA. He’s our mentor, the person we turn to whenever we hit a challenge or need guidance. His experience and wisdom are invaluable.

When I look at what we’re building together, I genuinely believe we have the best team in the world.

Thank you to everyone who attended, watched online, supported us, and shared the journey with friends and family. We couldn’t do it without you.

Here’s to the next training weekend!

What an incredible weekend!

I genuinely think I thrive on weekends like this. Training, teaching, learning, sharing ideas – I absolutely love it. Having Zoe, Jan and Casey alongside me as co-trainers made the whole experience even more special. Their knowledge, energy and support added so much value to the weekend.

This time we did something a little different. On the first day, we opened the doors to clients who wanted to learn more about Posture Alignment and gain a deeper understanding of what we do and why it works. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity and enthusiasm.

The second and third days were dedicated to our Train the Trainers programme, and for the first time we streamed the training internationally. We had people joining us from different countries, contributing live, asking questions and sharing their experiences. It worked so much better than I could have imagined. There are a few tweaks to make for next time (a few bigger lights might help!), but the interaction between those in the room and those online was absolutely fantastic.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended – our clients, our trainees, our online participants, and all the wonderful people who came along to be our “bodies” for demonstrations. You all helped make the weekend such a success.

The next training weekend will be in October. I’m just waiting to confirm the dates with Zoe and Jan, but if you’d like to know more about becoming a Posture Alignment Specialist, keep an eye on my website and the upcoming Train the Trainers programme.

Thank you all for making this weekend so memorable. I’m already looking forward to the next one!

What an absolutely fantastic weekend we’ve had at our Train the Trainers event.

Not only did we have people attending to learn how to do what I do as a Posture Alignment Specialist, but we also welcomed clients who simply wanted to understand more about the process and why their bodies are improving. I love that people are curious and want to learn. I have no secrets – the more knowledge we can share, the better.

One of the highlights was being able to stream the training via Zoom, allowing people to join us remotely and spend two days learning alongside the group. It was wonderful to have them with us, and I hope they enjoyed being part of it as much as we enjoyed having them there.

A huge thank you to Casey, who was superb, joining us on Zoom on Friday and Saturday afternoons and sharing so much valuable knowledge.

And then today we were joined by the brilliant Barry Jones, the hypnotist. What a session! We laughed so much as he demonstrated hypnosis with the group. Oh my goodness, Zoe and Jan were absolutely hilarious – they were completely under and had us all in stitches. It was amazing to watch and such a fun way to finish the weekend.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who attended, whether in person or online. Your enthusiasm, willingness to learn, and support of one another made the weekend so special.

Thank you Jan, thank you Zoe, thank you Casey, thank you Barry, and thank you to every single person who spent time with us.

I’m feeling incredibly grateful.

Take care everyone. Love you lots. ❤️

This weekend is all about learning, growing and continuing to develop my skills. Three full days of training ahead, and I’m genuinely looking forward to every minute of it. There’s always something new to learn, no matter how long you’ve been teaching or working with people.

The other exciting thing I’ve been up to is introducing two people I have enormous respect for: Doc Malik and Barry Jones.

Doc Malik has been incredible in helping me broaden my thinking and take my business and message out to a much wider audience. His knowledge, integrity and willingness to challenge conventional thinking have been invaluable.

Barry Jones, who many of you know from my classes, is equally remarkable. As a hypnotist, he has helped several of my clients and continues to do fantastic work helping people make positive changes in their lives.

Bringing these two together felt like a natural fit. When good people with great ideas connect, interesting conversations happen.

Have a watch of the podcast – I’ll put the link below. I think you’ll find it fascinating.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone, and remember, we’re all still learning.

Yes, I get stressed too.

Yesterday was one of those days.

I took my little dog to the vets and was told he needed 12 teeth removed, with the possibility of another 12 needing to come out later. When I questioned it and said I wanted him returned to me without those extractions, the conversation became difficult and left me feeling quite upset.

As therapists, carers, parents, business owners, and simply as human beings, we all face situations that challenge us emotionally. Sometimes we’re expected to make big decisions in a matter of moments, and that’s not always easy.

My little dog is bright, happy, eating well, and enjoying life. For now, I’ve chosen to support him in the way I feel is right and continue monitoring him closely.

What yesterday reminded me is that stress doesn’t discriminate. It affects all of us. The important thing is how we respond to it, who we lean on, and whether we allow it to consume us.

Thankfully, after a good chat with a trusted friend and a night’s sleep, today feels different.

So if you’re having one of those days, remember that tomorrow can look very different from today.

Be kind to yourself.

Slant boards are one of my favourite tools for helping to unravel and realign the body.

When you stand on a slant board facing a wall, you’ll often feel yourself being pushed backwards. This immediately gives your body valuable feedback and can help encourage a better posture and alignment. For anyone with a forward head position or who tends to lean forward through the body, it can be a really interesting exercise to experience.

That said, don’t think it’s easy! Standing correctly on a slant board takes concentration, patience and consistency. Like anything worthwhile, the benefits come from regular practice.

Watch the video I’ve just posted to see how it works. If you’d like to learn more, head over to my YouTube channel where you’ll find lots of videos, including a dedicated slant board session that you can follow along with.

As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
