Another powerful weekend of yogic teachings, practice, connection and integration.

Exploring Sanskrit, Nāda (sound) Yoga, vibrational healing, Ayurveda, Ashtanga and Yoga Nidra — another weekend of going deeper into the many layers of yoga.

Thank you for your wonderful teachings on Sanskrit and sound healing.

And this group… they blow me away.

Their support, connection and presence with one another. The way they hold each other’s journeys, and the depth with which they take what they learn into their own practice and teaching.

Each weekend of our 300hr YTT we explore different aspects of yoga, teaching and philosophy — and every month I’m in awe by how deeply these teachers are integrating it all.

There are a few spaces left on next year’s Advanced 300hr YTT.

If you’re feeling called to go deeper into your practice, teaching and understanding of yoga.

DM me ‘300’ and let’s have a chat.

You don’t need another business course.

You don’t need someone to tell you who to become.

I believe you already have the answers within you.

What you often need is someone who’s walked the path before you—someone who can help you uncover your own answers, see your blind spots, hold you accountable, move through self-doubt, and remind you what’s possible when you’ve forgotten.

That’s exactly why I created my 1:1 mentoring.
It’s where strategy meets self-discovery.

Where we create practical plans, but also do the inner work that allows you to follow through with confidence.

Could you build your business on your own?

Absolutely.

My role isn’t to carry you.

It’s to walk beside you, so you can move forward with more clarity, confidence and ease.

If you’re ready to step into your next chapter, I’d love to explore how we can work together.

Our business, just like our yoga practice, gets to adapt and evolve with our life.

Some days it looks like a quiet practice in a beautiful studio.

And some days it looks like practising in a caravan, surrounded by children, life and mess. :)

But we still show up.

Not perfectly. Not always in the way we imagined.

We adapt. We evolve. We find new ways of doing things.

And I think the same is true for building a yoga business.

Your business doesn’t have to fit around an old version of your life.

It gets to grow and change with you.

The key is knowing what to keep, what to let go of, and what needs to evolve so your business continues to support the life you actually want to live.

That’s a huge part of the work we do inside my mentoring.

If you’re ready to build a yoga business that grows with you, and supports the life you’re creating, Comment MENTOR.

How much should you charge for a 1:1 yoga session?

One of the first things I hear from the yoga teachers I mentor is…

“Do people actually book 1:1 yoga sessions?”

My answer?

Absolutely. YES.

For many years, I taught 1:1 yoga (and personal training) in London, Kent and Brighton. Alongside my weekly classes, I had a full diary of private clients—some came once a week, others two or three times a week.

Many of those clients became so much more than clients. We shared years of growth together, and some are still dear friends today. It was an honour to be part of their journey.

As a guide, many UK yoga teachers charge £30–£80+ for a 1:1 session, depending on the location.

You can also offer a discount when 10 x 1:1 sessions are bought as a pack. I used to do this and it worked out really well.

And here’s the part I really want you to remember…

Your qualifications open the door, but your presence, your care, and the experience you create are what keep people coming back.

People aren’t looking for another yoga teacher.

They’re looking for their yoga teacher.

The thing nobody tells you about building a yoga business…

It’s not just about becoming a better teacher.

You can be an incredible yoga teacher and still struggle to build a business that supports you.

Because teaching yoga is one skill.

Building a business around your yoga is a whole different one.

A few things nobody really prepares you for:

• You’ll have to learn how to share your work.

Teaching well is one thing. Being seen, sharing your offerings, putting yourself out there is a different skill entirely, and no one warns you it’s the harder one.

• You’ll probably spend more time at a laptop than you imagined.

Planning. Content. Emails. Admin. Marketing. Numbers. Strategy. Ironically, I left graphic design because I didn’t want to spend hours at a laptop. And then I built a yoga business!

• Your relationship with money will be tested.

You’ll have to learn to charge, receive, look at your numbers and allow your business to be profitable — without losing the heart of why you started.

• You’ll realise that doing more isn’t necessarily the answer.

More classes. More clients. More hours.

Eventually, the question becomes:

How can I earn more without overwhelm and burnout?

And perhaps most importantly…

• You’ll have to learn to trust yourself.

There will always be another strategy, expert or trend telling you what you should be doing.

Your job is to work out what actually makes sense for you, your business and the life you want to create.

And that’s where support can make such a difference.

• You don’t need to become someone you’re not.

That’s what I support yoga teachers with inside my mentoring and business coaching — helping you create more impact, income and freedom, in a way that feels aligned with who you are.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

How much should you get paid to teach a yoga class?
This is one of the questions I’m asked most by newly qualified yoga teachers.

The honest answer?
There isn’t a set rate.
As a rough guide in the UK…

✨ Gyms & leisure centres: around £20–£25 per class, sometimes less!

✨ Yoga studios: typically £30–£60+, depending on the studio, location, your experience and whether you’re paid a flat fee or per student.

✨ Your own classes: you set your own prices, with many teachers charging around £10–£15 per student (often more in larger cities). You could earn between £50 - £200 a class depending on what you charge and how many students you can hold in the space.

But here’s what I really want you to remember…
Don’t just ask, “How much does it pay?”
Also ask yourself:
• Does this feel aligned?
• Does it fit the lifestyle I want to create?
• Is this a community I want to be part of?
• Could this lead to other opportunities?

Sometimes the highest-paying class isn’t the best opportunity.

And sometimes a lower-paid class opens doors you never expected.

Know your minimum rate, know your worth, and choose opportunities that support both your income and the life you’re creating.

👉 You don’t have to say yes to every class.
When you’re newly qualified, it’s easy to believe every opportunity is one you should take. It isn’t. Protect your energy and say yes to what genuinely feels aligned.

👉 You are not here to save everyone.
We hold space, we guide, we support—but we’re not responsible for fixing or healing every person who walks into our class. Your job is to offer the practice. The rest belongs to them.

👉 Your own practice comes first.
The best teachers are lifelong students. Your practice, rest and wellbeing aren’t things to squeeze in around teaching—they’re what allow you to show up grounded and present. You cannot pour from an empty cup.

👉 Invest in systems that support you.
One of the best investments I ever made wasn’t another yoga prop… it was a class booking and scheduling system. It saves hours of admin and gives students a better experience.

👉 Give your classes time to grow.
Most classes don’t fill overnight. It can take a few months for people to find your class and make it part of their routine. Keep showing up. Trust the process.

👉 It’s okay to move on.
You don’t have to keep teaching somewhere simply because you always have. If a class, studio or commitment no longer feels aligned, it’s okay to let it go.

👉 There are so many ways to teach yoga.
Retreats, workshops, festivals, corporate yoga, weddings, private sessions, teacher trainings, online memberships. Create a business that supports the life you want to live—not one that leaves you exhausted.

💬What do you wish someone had told you before you became a yoga teacher?

When I first qualified, I thought success meant saying yes to everything. What I’ve learnt over the past 15 years is that the most sustainable yoga businesses aren’t built on doing more—they’re built on doing what feels aligned.

If you’re ready to create a yoga business that supports the life you want to live, send me a message and let’s explore how we can work together.
